หลังจากที่นีล เซดากะ กลับมาโด่งดังในอเมริกาอีกครั้งในปี 2518
ในปีเดียวกันซิงเกิลที่ชื่อ "The Immigrant" ซึ่งอยู่ในอัลบั้มรวมฮิตรับขวัญสู่วงการอีกครั้งของเขาอย่าง Sedaka's Back ก็ได้ออกจำหน่าย

แน่นอนว่าเขากับฟีล โคดี้ (Phil Cody) ร่วมกันแต่ง
โดยมีรับแรงบันดาลใจจากการอพยพของคุณพ่อของฟีล จากซิซิเลียสู่อเมริกา

แต่ตัวเพลงนี้ได้อุทิศให้แด่ตำนานสี่เต่าทองคนหนึ่ง
ซึ่งก็คือ...จอห์น เลนนอน
ณ ตอนนั้น จอห์นประสบปัญหาการอพยพเข้าสหรัฐอเมริกาจากรัฐบาลของประธานาธิบดีริชาร์ด นิกสัน
ซึ่งเขาเองฟ้องร้องจนได้รับชัยชนะในปี 2518

เพลงนี้ติดอันดับ 22 บน Billboard Hot 100
แต่ติดอันดับ 1 บน Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart
