"Say Cheese" ... but don't smile...
Thailand's known as the land of smiles. Here everybody (well everybody Thai) smiles. They smile at everything and anything. You see people wandering down the street. They smile. You talk to someone who cannot understand a word that you are saying to them. They smile. You argue with a friend because he or she says something totally illogical. They give you a 'why on earth do you think like that' look. Then they smile. Even if you go to a funeral, you will see people smile.
Some days, you notice how miserable the farangs look traipsing around Khao San with their giant backpacks. They're not really miserable. They're normal and they're enjoying their holiday. But, after being in Thailand a while, you start to believe that they look really unhappy. Why ? Because they're the only people here that don't smile.
Anyway, I need to get some photographs taken so I can get a renew my work permit and my teachers license, two of the three documents that I need to legally work here. I had lots of photos taken last year, but a few days ago, I found out that I can't use the ones. The prints must be less than 6 months old.
The other requirements:- 1. - Wear a smart shirt and jacket. 2. - Don't wear your glasses. 3. - Don't smile.
