To be an oversea student, one sad thing to keep in mind is that we have to leave our beloved friends back home sooner or later. Nevertheless, friendship is a theme of life which follows us no matter where we are.
Mandy and Susan are deemed two of my close friends in Melbourne. Apart from to keep in touch, another main idea we occasionally go out together is, as simple but tempting as that, - - to eat.
Mandy came from Hong Kong while Susan from Taiwan. The first spoke Cantonese while the latter Mandarin. We communicated in English yet sometimes Mandy and Susan compromised their mutual understanding by writing Chinese characters in a paper and all was easier for both of them.
We celebrated the farewell party to Mandy with the favorite activity of our group that was to lunch out. I realized a sense of hardship in happiness after meal.
Even though I did keep in mind not to surpass a limit of over consumption, I thought I could live completely without any food or drink for a couple of days while walking out of the restaurant
We took photos at many places as a souvenir for our for-good old days in Melbourne. Including that in front of my favorite gelato shop - - Trampoline.
We had promised to visit each of our home land one by one. We are not sure when but we are certain that the day will come. A friendship once grows; we have no idea what reason that is rational enough to let it wither away.
