Glenn Frey ผู้ก่อตั้ง The Eagles ได้เสียชีวิตเมื่อเช้าวันที่ 19 มกราคม 2559 ตามเวลาในบ้านเรา ด้วยโรคไขข้ออักเสบเฉียบพลัน ลำไส้อักเสบและโรคปอดบวมในวัย 76 ปี และ Facebook ของวงก็ได้โพสต์ยืนยันถึงเรื่องนี้ ทางครอบครัวของเขา
ก็อยากจะขอบคุณแฟนๆ ที่ให้กำลังใจเสมอมาจนวาระสุดท้ายของเขา

ซึ่งที่ผ่านมา Glenn Frey ได้ร่วมแต่งเพลงดังๆ อย่าง Best of My Love, Lyin' Eyes,
One of These Nights และ Hotel California.

Glen Frey ตั้งวงในปี 1971 และนอกจากนี้เขาก็ยังมีผลงานเพลงเดี่ยวด้วย อย่างเช่นเพลง The Heat Is On and You Belong
