Miss Netherlands World 2012
Kelly Weekers, crowned Miss Nederland 2011 and a Top 16 finalist in Miss Universe last year, has been appointed to represent the country at the 2012 Miss World finals in Ordos, China, next August.
The decision took place after the change in date of the Miss World competition from November to August.
Kelly comes from Maastricht and stands 180 cm in height. She could become the third Miss Nederland to compete in Miss World under Kim Kotters direction, following the footsteps of Avalon Chanel Weyzig and Desiree van den Berg.
Her participation, however, depends on permission granted by her University.
According to her personal twitter account, she has not made a final decision about her studies.
Miss World 2012 contestants are due to arrive in Ordos on July 18th.
