Miss World Kenya 2012
Miss Shamim Ali was crowned the new Miss World Kenya 2012. She received crown and sash from the hands of the outgoing Miss World Kenya Susan Anyango and the reigning Miss World, Ivias Sarcos.
I couldnt believe it. I didnt think I would make it this far. Every eviction I was always nervous and scared that I was going to be kicked out of the competition. But here I am. I am thankful to God. Shamim recounted. She also won the award for best Beauty With a Purpose project.
As part of winning, Shamim got a cheque of Sh1 million and an Insurance cover ranging into millions. A car which will be fuelled all through will also be provided by Ashleys.
She will compete in Miss World 2012, in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China, on August 18.
