Miss Global Beauty Queen 2008
Stunning Yulia Krylova, Miss Moscow, was crowned Miss Global Beauty Queen 2008 at the Ningbo's Grand Theater tonight. Runner-ups were the representatives of Beijing (1st ru), Athens (2nd), Chisinau (3rd), and Tallinn (4th).
Sep 27, 2008 - Ningo, China - Yulia Krylova, Miss Moscow, gave Russia its second consecutive Miss Global Beauty Queen title. She edged out 61 other international beauties at the Grand Theater of Ningbo, China. The show, telecast to China and a few other countries, was watched by over 400 million people. The winner, a 1.72 m-tall model from Moscow, is 22 years old and would like to be an actress in the future.
The Russian winner was crowned by last year's 1st runner-up, Parwina, from Thailand. The winner could not make it to Ningbo in time to crown her successor.
The other finalistas were: Han Kaixin, Beijing, China (2nd), Panagiota Kourakou, Athens, Greece (3rd), Ana Velesco, Chisinau, Moldova (4th) and Gerta Poldver, Tallinn, Estonia (5t).
The semifinalists were: 6- Yerevan, Armenia, Marine Avetyan; 7- Sydney, Australia, Danielle Byrnes; 8- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Natalie Chiaw; 9- Seoul, Korea, HyunSun Park; 10- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nayara Lima; 11- Belgrade, Serbia, Dragana Atlija; 12- Toronto, Canada, Niyati Bhatt; 13 Caracas, Venezuela, Linibeth Alvarez; 14- Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Khongorzul Ganbat; 15- Singapore, Valentane Huang (Miss Internet).
