Skincare Basic #6 : How to “Cleanse” Your Skin Properly

การทำความสะอาดคือบทเริ่มต้นสู่ผิวสุขภาพดี ถ้าคุณทำความสะอาดผิวได้ถูกต้องและเหมาะสม ก็ถือเป็นการเริ่มต้นที่มีชัยไปกว่าครึ่ง แต่ถ้าคุณทำความอาดผิวไม่ถูกต้องนี่ก็จะเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของหายนะผิวที่จะเกิดตามมาเป็นลูกโซ่ ดังนั้นคุณจึงควรให้ความสำคัญกับขั้นตอนนี้ให้มาก และต้องทำความเข้าใจอย่างถูกต้องด้วย

ไม่มีใครรู้ว่า Cleanser แบบไหนเหมาะกับผิวของเราได้ดีกว่าตัวของเราเอง

ผิวของเรา หน้าของเรา เราก็ควรรู้ตัวเองดีที่สุดว่าล้างแล้วมันสะอาดหรือไม่สะอาด... ต่อให้ผลิตภัณฑ์นั้นมีส่วนผสมดีแค่ไหน แต่ถ้าใช้ไม่ถูกวิธีมันก็คงทำความสะอาดได้ไม่เต็มประสิทธิภาพ หรืออาจจะทิ้งคราบตกค้างจนเป็นปัญหาผิว และที่สำคัญคือผิวของแต่ละคนแพ้สารแต่ละตัวไม่เหมือนกัน

เราจึงไม่ควรพึ่งพาหรือไปถามคนอื่นว่า “ผลิตภัณฑ์ตัวนี้มันเหมาะกับผิวเรารึเปล่า” “เราใช้แล้วจะแพ้ไหม” หรือ “เราใช้แล้วจะทำความสะอาดได้หมดจดรึไม่” เพราะมันเป็นปัจจัยที่ขึ้นอยู่กับ “ผิว” และ “วิธีการใช้” ของเราเอง คนอื่นไม่สามารถบอกเราในเรื่องนี้ได้

“อ่อนโยน” คือกุญแจสำคัญ

ไม่ว่าจะมีผิวแบบไหน จะแห้ง จะมัน หรือเป็นสิว ก็ควรจะทำความสะอาดผิวอย่างเบามือและใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่อ่อนโยน ซึ่งสามารถตรวบสอบอย่างง่าย ๆ ด้วยการอ่าน Ingredients List

ส่วนผสมที่ควรหลีกเลี่ยงก็คือ Menthol, Camphor, Mint ที่ทำให้ผิวเย็นซาบซ่าแต่ก็ทำให้ผิวระคายเคือง สารสกัดจากพืชที่ก่อการระคายเคืองบางชนิด อย่าง Arnica, Sage และส่วนผสมของน้ำหอมหรือ Fragrance Oil นอกจากนี้ยังต้องหลีกเลี่ยงสารทำความสะอาดที่รุนแรงเกินไปอย่าง อย่างเช่น Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, sodium c14-16 olefin Sulfonate เป็นต้น

การอ่าน Ingredient List จำเป็นมากเพราะอะไร

การอ่านส่วนผสมจะทำให้เราทราบว่ามีสารก่อการระเคืองหรือไม่ และสามารถบอกได้ในระดับหนึ่งว่า Cleanser นั้นเหมาะสมกับสภาพผิวแบบไหน

คนผิวมันก็ควรใช้ Cleanser ที่มีส่วนผสมของสารทำความสะอาดที่อ่อนโยนปราศจากน้ำมัน ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ทำความสะอาดมากเกินไปจนทำให้หน้าฝืดตึงจะขจัดน้ำมันที่เคลือบผิวออกไปจนหมด ต่อมไขมันจะถูกกระตุ้นให้สร้างน้ำมันออกมาเคลือบผิวเพิ่มมากขึ้นเพื่อทดแทนที่ถูกเอาออกไป ทำให้หน้ามันหนักเดิม

คนผิวแห้งก็ง่ายต่อการระคายเคืองเป็นทุนเดิมอยู่แล้ว ต้องหา Cleanser ที่ทำความสะอาดอย่างอ่อนโยน (หรืออาจจะไม่มีเลยก็ได้) และต้องมีส่วนผสมของ Water-Binding Agent และ Soothing Agent มาช่วยปลอบประโลมผิวและไม่ทำให้ผิวแห้งตึง จะมีน้ำมันหรือ Emollients มาช่วยเคลือบผิวบ้างก็ดีไม่น้อย

คนผิวเป็นสิวนั้นเหมาะกับ Cleanser ที่อ่อนโยนอย่างที่สุด เพราะการใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีสารทำความสะอาดรุนแรงเกินไป มีเม็ด Scrub ขัดผิว สารก่อการระคายเคืองอื่น ๆ น้ำหอม หรือน้ำมัน จะทำให้ผิวที่เป็นสิวอยู่นั้นย่ำแย่ทรุดหนักลงกว่าเดิม

คนผิวธรรมดานั้นไม่ค่อยมีปัญหากับการเลือกผลิตภัณฑ์ทำความสะอาดสักเท่าไหร่ ขอให้เลือกผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีส่วนผสมอ่อนโยนเอาไว้เพื่อไม่ทำให้ผิวเสียสมดุล

คนผิวผสมอาจจะลำบากเล็กน้อย ถ้ามีผิวผสมไปทางมัน ก็ให้ใช้ Cleanser แบบผิวมัน แต่ถ้ามีผิวผสมออกไปทางแห้งก็ให้เลือก Cleanser ออกไปทางแห้งหน่อยก็ได้

สิ่งที่ควรคาดหวังจาก Cleanser

ปัจจุบันมี Cleanser ออกมามายมายหลายแบบ บ้างก็โฆษณาว่าช่วยบำรุงผิว ทำให้ผิวขาวใส ลดรอยเหี่ยวย่น ลดการผลิตน้ำมัน โดยการใส่ส่วนผสมที่มักเจอในมอยซ์เจอไรเซอร์บำรุงผิวอย่างพวกวิตามิน สารสกัดจากพืช บลา ๆ ๆ เพื่อให้เราเข้าใจผิดคิดว่าสามารถบำรุงผิวให้ขาวขึ้นและขจัดริ้วรอยออกไปพร้อมกับการทำความสะอาด แถม Cleanser ที่โฆษณาสรรพคุณเหล่านี้มักมีราคาแพงเสียด้วยสิ (บางทีก็โคตรอภิมหาแพง)

แต่ Cleanser จะช่วยกำจัดริ้วรอยได้จริงน่ะรึ? จะช่วยให้ผิวขาวใสขึ้นจริง ๆ อ่ะ? คำตอบคือไม่จริงขอรับ..

ประการแรก สารบำรุงพวกนี้มักถูกใส่มาในปริมาณที่น้อยมากจนไม่มีประสิทธิภาพอันใดกับผิว

ประการที่สอง สารบำรุงเหล่านี้จะต้องอยู่บนผิวเป็นเวลานานพอเพื่อที่จะซึมลงไปจนทำประโยชน์ได้ คงไม่มีใครพอก Cleanser พวกนี้ทิ้งไว้เป็นสิบนาที เป็นชั่วโมงหรอกนะขอรับ

ประการที่สาม ถ้าเกิดมีความคิดอุตริจะเอา Cleanser มาพอกทิ้งไว้นาน ๆ นั่นก็จะทำให้ผิวเสี่ยงกับการระคายเคืองต่อสารทำความสะอาดที่ใส่มา

ทั้งหมดที่กล่าวมานี้ก็เพื่อชี้ให้เห็นว่า การเลือกซื้อ Cleanser ราคาแพงที่โฆษณาสรรพคุณสุดวิเศษนั้นเป็นการสิ้นเปลืองเงินโดยใช่เหตุ สู้เอาเงินไปซื้อมอยซ์เจอไรเซอร์ที่มีส่วนผสมดี ๆ สักชิ้นยังมีประโยชน์เสียกว่า

เราไม่ควรคาดหวังกับอะไรที่ไร้สาระกับการเลือกใช้ Cleanser สิ่งที่เราควรคาดหวังก็คือประสิทธิภาพในการทำความสะอาดที่อ่อนโยน เหมาะสมกับสภาพผิวของเรา ไม่มีสารก่อการระคายเคือง ไม่ทำให้ผิวแห้งตึง ไม่ทิ้งคราบตกค้างเอาไว้บนผิว ไม่ทำให้แสบตา ที่สำคัญ...ราคาไม่จำเป็นต้องแพงเพราะนี่เป็นสิ่งที่เราต้องใช้ทุกวัน ของราคาแพงไม่ได้ทำความสะอาดได้ดีกว่าหรืออ่อนโยนกว่าของถูก

ประสิทธิภาพในการทำความสะอาดไม่ได้ขึ้นอยู่กับ "ปริมาณฟอง"

ความเชื่อผิด ๆ ที่ว่าการมีฟองเยอะหมายความทำความสะอาดได้เยอะนั้นมีอยู่กับเรามานานจนติดแน่นฝังลึกยากจะถอน จริงๆ แล้วปริมาณฟองไม่ได้สัมพันธ์กับประสิทธิภาพในการทำความสะอาดเลยแม้แต่น้อย แต่เนื่องจากผู้บริโภคนิยมผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีฟองมาก ๆ บริษัทเครื่องสำอางก็ต้องสนองตอบ Demand ไป ด้วยการ Supply ผลิตภัณฑ์ทำความสะอาดที่ก่อฟองฟ่อดให้ได้เลือกซื้อกัน

ผลิตภัณฑ์ทำความสะอาดที่ก่อฟองเยอะ ๆ ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นพวกสบู่ หรือเป็นสารทำความสะอาดกลุ่ม Potassium อย่าง Potassium Myristate (ที่พบบ่อยในโฟมล้างหน้า) หรือไม่ก็ใส่พวก Foam Booster ลงไป เพื่อเพิ่มปริมาณฟอง

สบู่ (Soap) ก่อฟองเยอะแต่มันก็มีผลเสียต่อผิวเยอะเช่นกัน (อธิบายเอาไว้ด้านล่างแล้ว) สารทำความสะอาดอย่าง Potassium Myristate ก็ทำให้ผิวแห้งตึง (แต่ถ้ามีส่วนผสมให้ความชุ่มชื้นมานำหน้า มันก็ช่วยกลบข้อเสียนี้ได้อยู่นะ) สารจำพวก Foam Booster นี้ไม่มีประโยชน์อะไรนอกจากเพิ่มปริมาณฟองและเพิ่มโอกาสระคายเคืองให้กับผิวแถมบางคนก็อาจแจ็คพอตถูกหวยมาแพ้สารเพิ่มฟองได้ด้วยเหมือนกัน (เวลาไปเล่น Foam Party ถึงได้มีคนแพ้หรือระคายเคืองกันยังไงล่ะขอรับ)

บางคนเข้าใจผิดคิดว่า Cleanser ที่ไม่มีฟองนั้นแปลว่าล้างไม่สะอาด เลยเทรเทศไปอยู่ในถังขยะให้ไกลตา หารู้ไม่ว่าได้ทิ้งของที่อ่อนโยนกับผิวไปแล้วนะนั่น....

ต้องใช้ Cleanser ในปริมาณที่เหมาะสม

การใช้ Cleanser ในปริมาณที่น้อยเกินไปก็จะทำให้ประสิทธิภาพในการทำความสะอาดน้อยลงไปด้วย (โดยเฉพาะ Detergent Base Cleanser)

ถ้าคุณรู้สึกว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ใช้ทำความสะอาดได้ไม่มากพอ ลองเพิ่มปริมาณที่ใช้ดู แต่ถ้าเพิ่มปริมาณแล้วก็ยังทำความสะอาดได้ไม่ดีเท่าที่ควร ก็ควรมองหาผลิตภัณฑ์อื่นที่มีประสิทธิภาพตรงใจมากกว่า

Cleanser ที่ใช้อยู่ทำให้หน้าตึงฝืดเหมือนน้ำยาล้างจานหรือไม่?

มีหลายคน (โดยเฉพาะผู้ชาย) จะชื่นชอบ Cleanser ที่เมื่อล้างออกแล้ว ลูบผิวไปจะฝืดเอี๊ยดเหมือนติดเบรคเพราะคิดว่านั่นเป็นการทำความสะอาดแบบหมดจดไร้คราบมัน... ปูเป้ขอบอกว่านั่นเป็นกระทำการบ่อนทำลายผิวไปเรื่อย ๆ โดยไม่รู้ตัว (หรือรู้ตัวแต่ก็ยังจะทำ)

การทำความสะอาดด้วยผลิตภัณฑ์ที่รุนแรงเกินไป จะทำให้ Intercellular Matrix หรือชั้นเคลือบปกป้องผิวตามธรรมชาตินั้นถูกทำลาย ลด หด หายไปเรื่อย ๆ เมื่อชั้นเคลือบปกป้องผิวนั้นลดน้อยลงหรือหมดไป ผิวก็จะแห้ง ลอก ไม่สามารถเก็บกักความชุ่มชื้นได้ สูญเสียประสิทธิภาพในการซ่อมแซมตัวเอง และยังง่ายต่อการติดเชื้อแบคทีเรีย เชื้อราที่ทำให้เกิดปัญหาผิวอื่น ๆ ตามมา

Cleanser ที่ใช้ไม่ทำให้หน้าฝืดตึง แต่กลับทิ้งเมือกลื่น ๆ เอาไว้เหมือนกับเป็นเอเลี่ยนนอกโลก

Cleanser ที่ดีนอกจากจะทำความสะอาดได้ดี ไม่ทำให้ผิวแห้งตึงแล้ว ก็จะต้องล้างออกได้อย่างหมดจดและไม่ทิ้งคราบตกค้างเอาไว้

คราบมัน ๆ หรือฟิล์มเมือกลื่น ๆ ที่เหลือทิ้งไว้อาจเป็นปัญหากับผิว ทำให้ผิวอุดตันเป็นสิวได้ (โดยเฉพาะกับผิวมันหรือผิวที่เป็นสิวง่าย)

“สบู่ก้อน” (Soap) ไม่ใช่ทางเลือกที่ดีในการทำความะสะอาดผิว (ไม่ว่ามันจะถูกหรือแพงก็ตาม)

ผิวสุขภาพดีจะมีค่า pH ของผิวเป็นกรดอ่อนหรือประมาณ 4 – 6 (ซึ่งอธิบายไปในแล้วในเรื่อง Acid Mantle จาก Skincare Basic #2 : Understanding Skin Anatomy) ส่วนสบู่ที่ทำความสะอาดกันโดยทั่วไปเป็นเป็นด่างหรือมีค่า pH มากได้ถึง 10 ซึ่งทำให้ค่า pH ของผิวสูงขึ้น

มีผลการวิจัยแล้วว่า ถ้าผิวถูกทำให้ค่า pH สูงกว่าปกติจะทำให้แบคทีเรียในรูขุมขนเจริญเติบโตได้ดีซึ่งสามารถก่อให้เกิดการอักเสบของผิวหรือสิวอักเสบตามมาได้ แม้ผิวที่สุขภาพดีก็จะสามารถปรับค่า pH ตัวเองให้กลับมาเป็นกรดอ่อนอย่างเดิมได้ภายใน 30 นาที (สำหรับผิวที่มีสุขภาพดี) แต่การทำให้ผิวต้องเผชิญสภาวะเช่นนี้ซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าติดต่อกันเป็นเวลานานจะลดประสิทธิภาพในการเยียวยาตัวเองลงเรื่อยจนก่อให้เกิดปัญหาผิว

ถึงปัจจุบันจะมีการปรับปรุงคุณภาพของสบู่ก้อน (มักเรียกว่า Beauty Bar อย่าง Dove เป็นต้น) โดยการเติมสารประเภท Lactic Acid หรือ Citric Acid หรือ Fatty Acid เพื่อปรับปรุงคุณภาพของสบู่ให้อ่อนโยนกว่าเดิม และปรับค่า pH ลงให้เหลือได้ประมาณ 5 - 7 ซึ่งลดปัญหาเรื่องค่า pH ไปได้

แต่ไม่ว่าจะเป็นสบู่แบบต้นตำรับหรือแบบสมัยใหม่ สบู่ก็ยังคงมีข้อเสียร่วมกันในเรื่องการทำความสะอาดที่รบกวนสมดุลผิวหนังโดยชำระล้างน้ำมันที่เคลือบผิวออกจนมากเกินไปทำให้ผิวแห้ง และเมื่อน้ำมันตามธรรมชาติถูกชำระล้างออกไปจนหมด ผิวจะกระตุ้นให้ต่อมน้ำมันผลิตออกมาเพื่อทดแทนและมักจะผลิตออกมามากเกินไป เป็นสาเหตุให้คนที่มีผิวผสมอาจกลายเป็นผิวมันและผิวอาจจะยิ่งมันกว่าเดิมเนื่องจากสมดุลของน้ำมันในผิวถูกทำลาย ไม่นับถึงคนที่ผิวแห้งซึ่งขาดน้ำมันหล่อเลี้ยงผิวตามธรรมชาติอยู่แล้วจะระคายเคืองยิ่งกว่าเดิม

นอกจากนี้ส่วนประกอบไขมันในสบู่โดยเฉพาะสบู่บำรุงผิวที่ผสมไขมันในปริมาณมาก จะทิ้งคราบตกค้างบนผิวเอาไว้ซึ่งสามารถทำให้ผิวอุดตันได้ และการอุดตันก็อาจจะเป็นสิวอักเสบได้จากปัจจัยข้างต้นที่กล่าวมา

นอกจากนี้สบู่ยังมีประสิทธิภาพแย่มากในการล้าง Makeup ผู้ที่ใช้สบู่จึงต้องใช้ makeup remover เพื่อล้างMakeup หรือครีมกันแดดที่ใช้ Titanium Dioxides กับ Zinc Oxides ออกก่อนจะล้างหน้าด้วยสบู่

ผลเสียจากการใช้สบู่ทั้งหมด ถูกอธิบายว่า "มีโอกาสมากที่จะก่อให้เกิด" นั่นหมายความว่าปัญหาเหล่านี้ไม่ได้เกิดกับทุกคนนะขอรับ ใครที่ใช้แล้วยังไม่ประสบปัญหาอะไรก็ไม่ได้หมายความว่ามันจะดีกับผิว โดยเฉพาะผิวแห้งหรือผิวแพ้ง่ายควรจะหลีเลี่ยงการใช้สบู่ในทุกกรณี คนที่มีผิวธรรมดาหรือผิวผสมก็ไม่ควรใช่สบู่เพื่อทำให้สมดุลของผิวหน้าเสียไป สำหรับคนที่ผิวมันหรือเป็นสิวง่าย สบู่ก็มีโอกาสทำให้ผิวอุดตันและก็ทำให้ผิวอักเสบและระคายเคืองมากขึ้นทำให้ปัญหาสิวแย่ลง

ควรล้างหน้าบ่อยแค่ไหน

ปกติแล้วในแต่ละวันเราจะล้างหน้า 2 ครั้งในตอนเช้าหลังตื่นนอน และตอนเย็นก่อนเข้านอน การล้างหน้ามากเกินไปไม่ได้ช่วยให้หน้ามันน้อยลง (แต่จะกระตุ้นให้ผิวผลิตน้ำมันออกมามากขึ้น) และไปรบกวนผิวจนระคายเคืองได้

แต่ก็มีข้อยกเว้นถ้าคุณเป็นคนที่หน้ามันมากก็อาจจะล้างหน้าวันละ 3 ครั้ง หรือถ้าคุณมีกิจกรรมพิเศษอย่างออกกำลังกาย ก็ควรจะล้างหน้าทำความสะอาด Skincare และ Makeup ก่อนไปรีดเหงื่อและไขมันบนลู่วิ่งเพื่อป้องกันการเกิดสิว

“Deep Clean” หรือ "การทำความสะอาดทะลุทะลวงถึงรูขุมขน" นั้นไม่มีในโลก

บ่อยครั้งที่บริษัทเครื่องสำอางจะโฆษณาว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ของตนนั้น “สามารถ Deep Clean ช่วยทำความสะอาดผิวแบบล้ำลึกถึงรูขุมขน”

แต่การศึกษาโครงสร้างของผิวแบบง่าย ๆ ก็สามารถให้คำตอบได้แล้วว่า “มันไม่มีทางเป็นไปได้” เพราะเราไม่สามารถเปิดรูขุมขนออกมาควักล้างทำความสะอาดให้หมดจดได้อย่างที่เข้าใจ และถ้าเราพยายามจะทำอย่างนั้นโดยการอบไอน้ำเพื่อเปิดรูขุมขน หรือใช้น้ำที่ร้อนเกินไป นี่ก็จะเป็นการทำร้ายผิวมากกว่าจะเป็นประโยชน์

การที่ผลิตภัณฑ์แปะป้ายว่า Deep Clean ไมได้หมายความว่ามันจะมีประสิทธิภาพในการทำความสะอาดมากกว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ไมได้แปะว่า Deep Clean เอาไว้

อนามัยจัดเกินไปก็ใช่ว่าจะดี

ปัจจุบันคนเราหวาดกลัวเชื้อโรคและแบคทีเรียจนเข้าขั้นวิตกจริต อะไรก็ต้องสะอาด ปลอดเชื้อ ปลอดสาร ลามเลียมาถึงเครื่องสำอางที่ต้องทำความสะอาดโดยฆ่าเชื้อโรคได้ด้วย Cleanser ที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการฆ่าเชื้อแบคทีเรียกมักจะใส่ส่วนผสมยอดฮิตอย่าง Triclosan ซึ่งปกติแล้วจะพบได้ใน Cleanser ที่โฆษณาว่าช่วยรักษาสิว การใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ผสม Triclosan หรือสารฆ่าเชื้ออื่น ๆ อาจจะช่วยสิวมีอาการทุเลาลงหรือทำให้คุณรู้สึกอุ่นใจว่าได้ทำความสะอาดผิวอย่างสะอาดสุด ๆ

แต่การใช้ Cleanser แต่มีสารฆ่าเชื้อติดต่อกันเป็นเวลานาน จะทำให้เชื้อมีความต้านทานหรือ "เชื้อดื้อยา" ได้ คุณจึงควรใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ผสม Triclosan ในระยะเวลาสั้น ๆ เมื่อได้ผลเป็นพี่พอใจแล้วก็ควรหยุดใช้

Triclosan ยังถูกมองว่าเป็นสารก่อมะเร็งในประเทศอังกฤษ และโดย United States Environmental Protection Agency ของอเมริกาเนื่องจากมีรายงานว่า Triclosan สามารถผสมเข้ากับ Chlorine ในน้ำประปาจนเกิดเป็นก๊าซ Chloroform ได้

นอกจากนี้สาร Triclosan ที่ถูกใช้ตามบ้านเรือน เมื่อไหลมารวมในแหล่งน้ำทิ้งจะถูก Degrade โดยแสงอาทิตย์ แต่ผลจากการ Degrade ก็จะปลดปล่อย Dioxin ที่เป็นพิษต่อสภาพแวดล้อม...

การที่ใช้ชีวิตแบบ Hygiene มากเกินไปก็ใช่ว่าจะดี นักวิทยาศาสตร์ชี้ว่าการที่ปัจจุบันมีผู้ป่วยเป็นโรคภูมิแพ้มากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ก็เพราะวิถีการดำรงชีวิตแบบคุณนายสะอาดของเรา ทำให้ภูมิคุ้มกันในร่างกายนั้น Senstive หรือไวจนเกินไป

อุณหภูมิของน้ำก็สำคัญเหมือนกันนะ

การล้างหน้าด้วยน้ำเย็นจะไปลดประสิทธิภาพในการทำความสะอาดลง เพราะน้ำเย็นจะทำให้น้ำมันและ wax ล้างออกได้ยากขึ้น ส่วนน้ำที่ร้อนเกินไปก็จะทำให้ผิวเสียหายและระคายเคือง

น้ำอุ่นกำลังดีจะช่วยทำให้ทำความสะอาดได้ง่ายขึ้นและสะอาดขึ้น ถ้ากังวลเรื่องน้ำอุ่นจะทำให้รูขุมขนกว้างก็ปิดท้ายการล้างหน้าด้วยน้ำเย็นเพื่อปิดรูขุมขนก็ได้

ครีมกันแดดไม่ใช่คอนกรีต...

ครีมกันแดดไม่ล้างยากล้างเย็นติดเหนียวแน่นทนนานอย่างที่คนส่วนใหญ่เข้าใจผิด ถ้าใช้เพียงครีมกันแดดและไม่ได้แต่งหน้าจัดหรือใช้เครื่องสำอางแบบกันน้ำ การใช้ Detergent-Base Cleanser อย่างพวกเจลหรือโฟมล้างหน้าที่มีสารทำความสะอาดที่ปลอดภัยและมีปริมาณเข้มข้นพอดี ก็สามารถล้างครีมกันแดดและสิ่งสกปรกรวมถึงแป้งฝุ่นและเมคอัพแบบอ่อน ๆ ออกได้ในขั้นตอนเดียว

Detergent-Base Cleanser ที่อ่อนโยนมาก ๆ บางตัวก็มีสารทำความสะอาดไม่มากพอ (เช่น Cetaphil หรือ Physiogel) ทำให้มันความสะอาดสารกันแดดแบบ Physical หรือสิ่งสกปรกได้ไม่ดีนัก ก็ต้องมองหา Cleanser ที่มีสารทำความสะอาดมากขึ้นหน่อย (แนะนำว่าควรมีสารทำความสะอาดเริ่มต้นเป็นอันที่ 2 หรือ 3 ใน Ingredients List) โดยใช้ควบคู่ไปกับผ้าขนหนูเนื้อนุ่ม ๆ ช่วยเช็ดจะทำความสะอาดผิวได้ดีขึ้น

แต่ถ้าใช้ครีมกันแดดชนิดติดทนนาน กันน้ำ กันเหงื่อ หรือใช้สารกันแดดแบบ Physical อย่าง Titanium Dioxide หรือ Zinc Oxide ในปริมาณสูง ก็อาจจะพิจารณาใช้ Makeup-Remover หรือ Emollients-Base Cleanser ก่อน แล้วค่อยใช้ Detergent-Base Cleanser ตามเพื่อล้างคราบมันที่ตกค้างออกให้หมด

เมื่อได้ทำความเข้าใจในเรื่อง Concept ของการทำความสะอาดแล้ว ปูเป้ก็จะขอแจกแจงประเภทของ Cleanser พร้อมยกตัวอย่างผลิตภัณฑ์ และส่วนผสม พร้อมวิเคราะห์ให้ชมเป็นตัวอย่าง เพื่อที่ทุกท่านจะสามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการอ่าน Ingredient List ได้ด้วยตัวเองได้

กระผมจะขอแบ่ง Cleanser เป็นสองแบบใหญ่ ๆ ตามลักษณะในการทำความสะอาด คือ Emollients-Base Cleanser (หรือพวก Makeup Removers ส่วนใหญ่ทั้งหลาย) กับอีกแบบหนึ่งคือ Detergent-Base Cleanser

ยังมีแบบพิเศษอีกแบบหนึ่งก็คือแบบผสมหรือ Hybrid คือใช้ทั้งความเป็น Emollients และ Detergent เข้าด้วยกัน (ก็อย่างเช่น Cetaphil นี่แหล่ะ)

ด้วยความที่ทำไปทำมาแล้วข้อมูลเยอะจัด ขอแยกออกเป็นสองตอนดังนี้

1. Skincare Basic #6-1: Emollients-Base Cleanser

2. Skincare Basic #6-2: Detergent-Base Cleanser & Hybrid Cleanser

สวัสดีครับคุณปูเป้

เจอบล๊อกโดยบังเอิญครับ ก่อนอื่นต้องขอชื่นชมว่าเรียบเรียงเนื้อหาได้ดีมากเลยครับ ตอนนี้ไล่อ่านไปเรื่อยๆ ครับ ได้ความรู้เพิ่มขึ้นมาอีกเยอะ คงต้องอาศัยเวลาอีกพอสมควรจึงจะอ่านจนจบ

สำหรับผมผิวหน้ามีปัญหาเยอะครับ ส่วนหนึ่งน่าจะมาจากช่วงวัยรุ่น ดูแลไม่ถูกวิธี เลยกลายเป็นปัญหาสะสม โดยปกติไม่ได้เป็นคนมีสิวครับ ถ้าเป็นก็เป็นสิวอุดตันครับ บางครั้งก็พาลเป็นสิวอักเสบ แต่ก็ไม่มาก แต่ถ้าเป็นก็ทิ้งร่อยรอยไว้ให้หนักใจทุกครั้ง ชอบที่คุณปูเป้เขียนประโยคนี้ไว้ครับ

“การทำความสะอาดด้วยผลิตภัณฑ์ที่รุนแรงเกินไป จะทำให้ Intercellular Matrix หรือชั้นเคลือบปกป้องผิวตามธรรมชาตินั้นถูกทำลาย ลด หด หายไปเรื่อย ๆ เมื่อชั้นเคลือบปกป้องผิวนั้นลดน้อยลงหรือหมดไป ผิวก็จะแห้ง ลอก ไม่สามารถเก็บกักความชุ่มชื้นได้ สูญเสียประสิทธิภาพในการซ่อมแซมตัวเอง และยังง่ายต่อการติดเชื้อแบคทีเรีย เชื้อราที่ทำให้เกิดปัญหาผิวอื่น ๆ ตามมา”

ประโยคข้างบน หน้าจะอธิบายสิ่งที่ผมเป็นอยู่ได้เป็นอย่างดี ปัจจุบันกลายเป็นคนผิวแห้งครับ เคยไปหาหมอโรคผิวหนังเมื่อนานมาแล้ว หมอบอกว่าเป็นโรค Seborrheic Dermatitis ตรงบริเวณช่วงทีโซนครับ ปัญหาคือผิวรอก ที่สำคัญตอนนี้มาทำงานในประเทศหนาว (เยอรมัน) ก็เลยมีปัญหาหนัก หมอให้ยาพวกสเตอรอยด์มา ใช้แล้วได้ผลดีครับ แต่พอหยุดใช้ก็กลับมาเป็นอีก ปัจจุบันเลยเลิกยานี้ใช้แบบลาขาด ขยันทาครีมเช้าเย็นเอา อาการดีขึ้นเล็กน้อย (หรือจะเรียกว่าประคองไม่ให้มันทรุดไปกว่าเดิมมากกว่าครับ) สิ่งที่ทำให้กลุ้มใจมากคือ ผมเป็นคนผิวดำแดงออกเหลืองครับ ตรงทีโซนที่ผิวลอกบ่อยก็กลายเป็นสีอ่อนเกือบขาว สรุปแล้วผิวหน้ามีสีผิวไม่สม่ำเสมอ (อย่างแรง) ครับ คุณปูเป้มีคำแนะนำอย่างไรบ้างครับ ที่เยอรมันมีหลายแบรด์น่าจะหาซื้อได้ไม่ยาก และไม่น่าจะแพงเท่าเมืองไทยครับ

สุดท้ายขออนุญาติแก้ไขข้อความให้สมบรูณ์มากขึ้นนะครับ ตรงหัวข้อ “การอ่าน Ingredient List จำเป็นมากเพราะอะไร” หัวข้อรอง “คนผิวมัน” ประโยคสุดท้าย “ทำให้หน้ามันหนักเดิม” ควรเปลี่ยนเป็น “ทำให้หน้ามันหนักกว่าเดิม” ครับ

ผมมีคำถามนิดนึงเกี่ยวกับการทำความสะอาดหน้าน่ะครับ ถ้าเกิดว่าล้างหน้าโดยใช้แค่น้ำเปล่าอย่างเดียว วันละ 2 ครั้ง ถือว่าเป็นวิธีที่ดีมั้ยครับ เพราะปกติ ผู้ชายก็ไม่ได้แต่งหน้าอะไรอยู่แล้วมีก็แค่ เซรั่ม แล้วก็กันแดดครับ แล้วก็ขออีกนิดนึงนะครับ อย่างการ อบไอน้ำหน้า *ทุกวัน 5 นาทีเพื่อทำความสะอาด แล้ว ล้างน้ำเย็นก่อนทาครีมทุกวันเนี่ยจะเป็นผลดี หรือ ผลเสียมากกว่ากันครับ พอดีมีเพื่อนบอกมาว่าเห็นรายการทีวีบอกว่าดี ก็เลยสงสัยน่ะครับ
