เค้าโครงเนื้อเรื่องก็เอามาจากชีวิตจริงของ Hector Lavoe ราชาเพลงซัลซ่าเมื่อยี่สิบปีก่อน เพลงที่ชอบเป็นเพลงที่ Marc Anthony ร้องในผับแห่งนึงหลังจากที่รู้ว่าตัวเอง (Hector) ติดเชื้อ HIV เค้ากลับไปบอกภรรยา (Puchi) ให้ Puchi ต้องไปตรวจที่โรงพยาบาล Puchi ช๊อคมาก แต่ไม่ได้พูดอะไร มีแค่น้ำตาและลุกเดินออกจากห้องไป เป็นเรา เราก็คงช๊อคหน่ะนะ ที่อยู่ๆสามีมาบอกว่า เธอ จ๋า ชั้นมีเชื้อ HIV เราคงช๊อค ก็คงเป็นงง งง แบบว่า เอ แล้วตรูจะติดจากมันมั๊ยนี่ และคงมีต่อย ..... ต่อยสามีก่อนเดินออกไปหน่ะ ฮ่าๆๆๆๆ

เพราะหนังได้บอกเราถึงชีวิตของคนที่อยู่ในสังคมนั้น ซึ่งเราเองก็เคยได้หลงเข้าไปสัมผัสอยู่ช่วงเวลานึง แต่สุดท้ายก็รู้ว่า นั่นไม่ใช่ตัวเรา ถึงได้ถอยออกมาและมองดูอยู่ห่างๆ เข้าใจว่าชีวิตเค้าคนที่เรารู้จักเองก็ไม่ต่างกับชีวิตของ Hector เท่าไหร่นัก (โหหหห ว่าเข้าไปนั่น) เพราะต้องใช้ชีวิตกลางคืน อยู่กับเสียงเพลง ผู้หญิง เหล้าและยาเสพติด บางคนเกิดมาค่อนข้างจะเหงาง่ายและต้องการคนที่ทำให้ตัวเองหายเหงา ชีวิตจึงต้องมีคนอยู่ข้างๆเสมอ แต่จะไม่หยุดอยู่ที่ใครซักคน เพราะชีวิตเค้ายังต้องการสีสัน ต้องการความหลากหลาย แปลกใหม่ตลอดเวลา และปฏิเสธไม่เป็น ทีนี้ไอ้การ Handle หลายความสัมพันธ์ ในเวลาเดียวกันมันยาก ตรงนี้แหล่ะทำให้เค้าต้อง .... โกหก ... เหมือนกับที่ Hector บอก Puchi ว่า "You want too much Puchi, you want to have all but I cant promise you all Then I LIE to you .." ฟังแล้วก็เข้าใจนะ แต่เจ็บหน่ะ เจ็บจริงๆเวลาที่รู้ว่าใครซักคนที่เราไว้ใจตลอดมา เค้าโกหกเรา......ทุกอย่าง..... ตลอดเวลา......ที่อยู่กับเรา
มีฉากนึงสองคนทะเลาะกันในขณะที่ลูกชายกำลังโชว์เต้นให้พ่อแม่ดู รุนแรงขนาด Hector ขว้างแก้วลงพื้น ลูกชายตกใจมาก ตัวสั่น ร้องไห้ Puchi บอก Hector ให้พยายามเลิกยาเพื่อลูก ประโยคว่า Please Do it for Him Not for me and not for you but do it for him He is your son and He love you so much . ถึงครอบครัวที่ร่ำรวย มีทุกอย่าง ยกเว้นความรักความอบอุ่น สุดท้าย Tito ลูกชายคนเดียวของ Hector และ Puchi ก็ยิงตัวตาย ด้วยปืนของ Hector ที่เค้าชอบเอามานั่งเล่นเวลาที่เค้าเมา
แต่สิ่งที่สัมผัสได้จากหนังเรื่องนี้ Hector กับ Puchi เค้ารักกันมากนะ ถึงแม้จะรักแบบรุนแรงไปบ้างในบางครั้ง หรือดูเหมือนไม่รักกันก็ตาม มีอยู่ฉากนึงที่ Hector ร้องเพลงเสร็จ ลงนั่งข้างๆ Puchi แล้วบอก Puchi ว่า "I Love You" โดยปกติ Puchi มักจะตอบว่า "You love me when you get high" คือเธอรักชั้นตอนเธอเมายา Puchi ไม่ค่อยจะเชื่อเวลาที่ Hector บอกว่ารักเธอ แต่วันนั้น Puchi ตอบว่า "I Love you too" แล้ว Puchi ก็เงียบไปนิดนึง ก่อนจะพูดต่อว่า "Even it look like Im not but I DO !! โหหหห ฟังแล้วจั๊กจี้ อิอิ เพราะชั้นชอบแอบเป็น Puchi อยู่บ่อยๆ ฮ่าๆๆๆๆๆ

I've watched a movie "EL CANTANTE" the meaning is "I'm a Singer" I'm not an expert for the international movie or music. Especially this movie is Spanish Oh Oh But I don't know why I've watched it like 5 times, Maybe I'm in love with Latin music now.
This movie base on true story of Hector Lavoe , King of Salsa. And I love this song, sing by Marc Anthony also he is an actor. He sing this song after he knew ... he got HIV ...

After watching I've been thinking about someone who I knew him in past. It's made me realize and understand him more. For now I'm not angry at him anymore. I feel sorry him, forgive him and wish he has a good life in anyway.
Oh Movie has shown me about night life, I used to get lost there for awhile. I think his life is kinda like Hector life, Night life, Music, Womanizer, Alcohol, Drug.

Someone told me "Human always feel lonely after sunrise", I agreed with this. Puchi said "Hactor have everything for his life but he will never ever know that his wife, his son and his fans love him so much but doing drug ruin everything in his life.
His son Tito committed suicide by Hector's gun, Tito also have everything for life except LOVE from his parents!!
I can tell all of you one thing that they love each other so much but the way they act just opposite!! I do understand them ... Because I am always be like that too.
I love the way they look at each other and when Puhi gives Hector big hug at the hospital, I almost cry with this scene
This movie takes my breath away and I'm so so so into it. I think I spoil too much sorry for one who hasn't watched it yet. Like I told you I like this movie a lot so I can't stop spoiling it. Sorry :P

Héctor Juan Pérez Martínez (September 30, 1946June 29, 1993) was a Puerto Rican salsa singer. Lavoe was born and raised in the Machuelito sector of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Early in his life, he attended a local music school and developed an interest inspired by Jesús Sánchez Erazo He moved to New York City when he was seventeen years old. On his first week living in the city, he worked as the vocalist of a sextet formed by Roberto García. During this period, he performed with several other groups, including Orquesta New York, Kako All-Stars, and the Johnny Pacheco band.
In 1967, Lavoe joined Willie Colón's band and performed as the band vocalist. With the Willie Colón band, Lavoe recorded several hit songs, including El malo and Canto a Borinquen. While working with the Willie Colón band, Lavoe became addicted to drugs. When Colón retired, Lavoe became a soloist and formed his own band, where he performed as lead vocalist. As a soloist Lavoe recorded several hits including El cantante, Bandolera and El periódico de ayer. During this period he was frequently featured as an invited vocalist in the Fania All Stars, and recorded numerous tracks with the band.
In 1979, Lavoe underwent a strong depression and sought the help of a high priest to attend to his drug addiction. After a short rehabilitation, the deaths of his father, son and mother in law made him return to the addiction. These events, along with being diagnosed with HIV, affected Lavoe to the point of attempting suicide by jumping off the balcony of a hotel room. Lavoe survived and recorded a disc before his health began failing. Lavoe died in June 29,
