Yes, it used to be the Hotel of Rail Road Org. Before I went there many people warned me about the rumour of ghost in the hotel! But, lucky me that I have not encountered any (finger cross x^.^x).
i love Sofitel Hua Hin. such a nice, peaceful place. breakfast is also superb. i don't know whether breakfast is still served at a small white Sala on the left side, facing the beach. once there was a lady (thai person) singer there. she sang French and Spanish songs real well. i used to listen to her singing "Besame Mucho" and "La Vie en Rose", that was 3 years ago.
That sounds nice. Anyway, now the breakfast was served at the railway restaurant (not far from the lobby). The selection is also superb but I wonder that it might not as good as the one at a small white Sala facing the beach :)
thanks for the info. this summer (thai summer) i went to, sort of, home stay on an eastcoast beach, north of Mahanadi river(แม่น้ำมหานที) in India, where the water retreats 5 kms from the shore in low tide, and in high tide you can walk back with the water. no foreign tourists when i was there. people in the village cooked "crab masala" (curry) with fresh green mastard leaves for me. no words to describe. just FANTASTICO!
link to video music, national anthem of india, a well done piece, even for those who are not fan of india. watch and listen two times to taste the beauty of the lyric and music, played and sung by top indian artists of today.FABULOSO!
