I am not sure what to call you just yet, so I'll skip the greeting bit.
Thank yu for coming by to the Tinglish blog and thank yo or sharing your thoughts with the rest of us.
In reply to: ต้องใช้ภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ทุกเมื่อเชื่อวัน แต่ก็ยังใช้แบบผิดๆ อยู่เลย That means you know your MISTAKES which is a good sign and you WILL do whatever you can to correct it.
No need to be กลุ้ม None of us can say we never fell down learning to skate or ride a bicycle. The Thai or Asian culture sees MISTAKES as FAILURE, the west sees it as learning process. 'MISTAKES' is a very important part of the LEARNING PROCESS.
That is why western children are more daring and don't mind making mistakes whereas thais or Asians don't dare do much because we are scared of FAILURE.
We have to teach our children that we have to make mistakes in order to LEARN. It's called TRIAL and ERROR=you make a mistake...you try again and you keep trying until you succeed.
In speaking another language as long as you can COMMUNICATE your thoughts it is good enough. Once you are over the shyness you can start thinking of improving your SKILL IN COMMUNICATING SUCH AS speaking, reading and writing.
Before I forget... Please give me your postal address (write to klausner@hotmail.co.uk) so I could send you my book.
I hope this note finds Nong Ty feeling better and you more rested.
Don't PUSH yourself to hard. You are in the environment so IF you try to NOT speak Thai with your Thai friends your English will progress very quickly.
