เมื่อวันที่ 22 สิงหาคม 2567 นางสาวสมใจ ตะเภาพงษ์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครนิวยอร์กได้ไปร่วมให้กำลังใจนางสาวมนัญชญา สว่างแก้ว นักเทนนิสชาวไทย แบบติดขอบสนามในการแข่งขันรอบคัดเลือกของการแข่งขัน US Open 2024 ที่ Billie Jean King National Tennis Center ในนครนิวยอร์ก
สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ขอแสดงความชื่นชมและเป็นกำลังใจกับนางสาวนมัญชญาฯ ซึ่งชนะผู้เข้าแข่งขันจากบราซิลและสวิตเซอร์แลนด์มาแล้วก่อนหน้านี้ รวมถึงนางสาวลัลนา ธาราฤดีที่ร่วมลงแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ ขอให้ประสบความสำเร็จในเส้นทางเทนนิสระดับโลกต่อไป

"Support Thai Tennis Players at the US Open 2024"
On August 22, 2024, Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General in New York, joined a cheering crowd at courtside in supporting Ms. Mananchaya Sawangkaew, a Thai tennis player, during the qualifying rounds of the US Open 2024 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.
The Royal Thai Consulate-General extends our admiration and support to Ms. Mananchaya, who has already defeated competitors from Brazil and Switzerland, as well as to Ms. Lanlana Tararudee, who is also competing in this tournament. We wish them continued success in their journey on the global tennis stage.
