ชอบผู้เขียนคนนี้มาตั้งแต่ได้อ่านหนังสือที่น้องสาวที่อเมริกาส่งมาให้เรื่อง 'The Pilgrimage' และเพราะเคยได้ยินกิตติศัพท์ของเรื่องนี้มาบ้าง พอไปเจอเล่มนี้ในห้องสมุดเลยยืมมาทันที
เรื่องนี้เป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับเด็กเลี้ยงแกะ(จริงๆ)ที่ฝันเรื่องเดิมๆหลายครั้ง เขาอยากจะรู้ความหมายของฝันจึงไปหายิปซีคนหนึ่งให้ช่วยทำนายฝันแล้วก็รู้ว่ามีสมบัติซ่อนอยู่ที่พีระมิดในอียิปต์ เขาตัดสินใจไม่ได้ว่าควรทำอย่างไรดี เพราะเขาก็ไม่อยากที่จะขายแกะที่ล้ำค่าเพื่อที่จะไปแสวงหาสมบัติที่ไม่รู้ว่ามีจริงๆหรือเปล่า แต่แล้ว เขากHตัดสินใจขายฝูงแกะของตัวเองเพื่อเดินทางไปอียิปต์ หลังจากที่ได้พบกับ The old king ผู้ให้หินสองก้อนกับเขาที่จะช่วยเขาในการตัดสินใจ แต่ก่อนที่จะไปถึงพีระมิด เขาก็โดนหลอกนักต้มตุ๋นหลอกจนไม่มีเงินเหลือติดตัว
เรื่องนี้อ่านแล้วแทบวางไม่ลง ทำให้ได้ข้อคิดอะไรมากมาย และขณะที่อ่านก็เจอคนทักสองคน คนหนึ่งคือฝรั่งบน BTS บอกว่า this is a very good book, very beautiful ส่วนอีกคนเป็นเพื่อนบอกว่าหนังสือนี้สนุก อ๋อๆดี ไหงงั้นหว่า
