Yes, I think she is happy. We are happy with her. She asks to help around the house. Yesterday she helped me clean the floors, today she helped me with dinner. I told her I was very proud of her and thanked her very much. I asked her if her mom( you) would take ja and Joand teach them good manners just like she ( you) did for her ( Nam). You have raised a very kind daughter
Meet Nam. She is our new daughter!! We have her for one year. She is our Exchange Student from Thailand. Today is her first day in an American High School.
I took Nam to school yesterday and also picked her up. She did share with me how her day went and I am glad she did. I know it is hard to follow English at the speed which Americans speak. We speak at a good speed for her at home but school is different. That is to be expected. I am super proud of her even just going to American school where everything is different. She is a very brace girl. This week and next week will be the hardest for her. That is to be expected. I did think about getting a recorder for her. If you think that is best we can look for one.
I take a walk with Nam every morning and every evening. Last night I asked Nam what her favorite part of America was so far. She said it was her family /us!!! I believe she means that to be true too. We are also happy she is with us
School is hard because everyone speaks at American speed. But I have spoken to all of her teachers and they know to write down anything important for her. I heard someone say once that it will take approx 4 months for an Exchange Student to feel comfortable in school.

Nam, our new daughter from Thailand (she is here for a year as an Exchange Student) turned 16 years old yesterday!!! How many kids from Thailand get to say they've lived in the USA and also have lived at a University campus when they were 16? Granted, our university is not a typical university and her host family is not a typical family. Ha, ha.
Nam has a big day today as school. She had a chemistry project on Powerpoint she working on last nigh that she submitted via internet. She has a quiz in US Government. and an Interview in Speech class.

Each girl, Nam, Jae, and Jo got to invite 1 friend over for pizza, basketball, s'mores, and sleeping in the tent.
pizza ชิ้นใหญ่มาก
(S'mores is taking a marshmallow, placing it on a stick, putting it in the fire until it become soft and then take it off the stick, add chocolate and graham cracker. It's messy and delicious)
S'more From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A s'more is a traditional nighttime campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada, consisting of a fire-roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker.[1] National S'mores Day is celebrated annually on August 10.[2] The Guinness World Record for number of people making s'mores at one time was 423, set April 21, 2016, in Huntington Beach, California.[3]
Everything is going well. Your daughter has the most wonderful manners. She always asks if she can help with anything around the house and sometimes I do let her. This weekend I took Josie and Nam to an RV store. An RV is a huge camper similar to a small house. We love to go camping in a tent but Josie is obsessed with RV's. We will never buy or own one, but she does like looking at them. So we go a pretend what it would be like if we did own one. ha ha. Nam was amazed at what an RV looked like on the inside. But really so were Josie and I. There is a kitchen, bedroom, dining area, bathroom, refrigerator, bunk beds, and TV's!!!
