GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The HSE Coordinator is responsible for supporting the all health, safety and environmental activities (in) including training, development, and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS within the region). He/she also ensures the compliance to statutory regulations and companys standards, rules and guidelines.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILTIES:
Assists in implementation of Company HSE programs, policies, procedures and processes.
Maintain all OSHA guideline statistics; input current HSE information into proposals/bids as required; update website for HSE, update HSE postings and maintain all HSE statistics.
Work with client HSE representatives; legal interface and insurance interface as required.
Responsible for ensuring that processes needed for the HSE management system in the region are established, implemented and maintained.
Assists in various activities, including but not limited to risk identification, incident reporting and investigation, waste minimization, pollution prevention and control and various compliance activities in all areas of HSE.
Responsible for ensuring the promotion of awareness of HSE requirements throughout the organization, through liaison with external parties on matters relating to HSE management and through involvement in pre-qualifications, bids, contract reviews and project management.
Responsible for ensuring effective HSE objectives and targets are set which enforces company policy.
Responsible for measurement and analysis of HSE parameters and data required for effective continual improvement.
Responsible for rig and NOV facility audits.
Responsible for improving the safety culture within the organization by using tools such as safety Initiatives, hazard hunts, mentoring, etc.
Assists in preparing, implementing and maintaining the company HSE audit schedule and JSA audit schedule.
Organize and maintain the site ERP procedures and monitor its effectiveness and improvements.
Provide advice to management and supervision within the assigned assets or locations on HSE regulatory compliance and applicable industry practices.
Assisting the HSE Manager (FE) in emergency response; lead in accident reporting & investigation at direction of HSE Manager.
Advising the management and other requirements applicable to the companys activities.
Any other duties assigned.
To inspect and give recommendations to the company to comply with the low on occupational safety, health and environment.
To analyze the work to indicate possible dangers, including to set and present preventive measure and procedures for working safely to the company.
To analyze work plans and projects, and as well as recommendations of every working unit; and to give advice on safety measures to the employer,
To inspect and assess the operation of the workplace to comply with the work plan and project, or occupational safety measures.
To give advice to the company to follow the regulation and guidance on work safety in the workplace. Including the process and procedures of safe working to control and prevent danger from working. Moreover, organize trainings and workshops to enable the employees to work correctly and safely; as well as arrange controlling, directing and supervising to be under the responsibility of the safety officer in every level.
EDUCATION:
Shall possess at least one of the following
Bachelor Degree in occupational health or equivalent subject.
Holding at least technical vocation Certification, Advanced vocational certification, advanced vocational certification, advanced educational educational certification, diploma or equivalent; and passes the training and test according to the regulations and procedure stipulated by the Director-General.
Holds not lower than grade 12 certification, or vocational certification, or equivalent; and have worked as a safety officer in technical or fundamental level for not less than 5 year, and passes the training and test according to the regulations and procedure stipulated by the Director-General.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in IT (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in the marine / Oil and gas industry
Experienced in conducting internal audits/risk and workplace safety and health assessments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Good client management skills
