Drilling Technicians to work in Abu Dhabi
TS International are currently recruiting for a number of Drilling Technicians to work in Abu Dhabi for one of the major Drilling Operators of Abu Dhabi.
Representatives of the client will now be visiting Bangkok, Thailand from 3rd to 7th October 2012 to conduct face-to-face interviews* for shortlisted candidates.
We are looking to invite candidates to the interviews from India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia and the surrounding areas.
(* Client will pay for air fares / accommodation, where required)
These are rotational positions available on a 28 on / 28 off basis.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of a HND-level of education, Degree preferred. The candidate should have experience working both offshore and onshore. We ideally require a strong exposure in SOUR GAS/H2S or HPHT (high-pressure high-temperature) environments.
The candidates must have exposure of drilling projects at 500FT - 15,000FT.
As this is working for an Operator we ideally would like the candidate to have experience of working as Client Rep or PMC (project Management) or have worked for the Operator.
The salary will range from $6k - $8k USD per month tax free, the candidate will be paid every month of the year, to include onsite periods and for any rotation at home offsite. Salary may be negotiable for highly experienced candidates.

Provide 1st tier support for all levels of operations and specific regional support, operation implementation, training and operations troubleshooting as part of the overall Product Line.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with 3rd Party groups or service companies for technical support and troubleshooting.
Interact with Regional and Global operations for technical support on a daily basis.
Provide training and feedback to Operation Support team members.
Participate in Technical Presentations as needed for development in Operation Support.
Be available to be dispatched to rigs to provide technical support related to services, if needed.
Interact with internal and external clients and maintain a positive relationship to benefit our existing products and services and enable the expansion of other potential opportunities for growth.
Participate and identify chargeable non-standard support and request customer approval.
Identify new projects or changes in projects to meet all support requirements.
Participate in new initiatives and provide feedback to streamline operation support processes.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by manager within the physical constraints of the job.
Able to work a rotating shift to provide 24/7 support.
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelors degree in engineering, geosciences or other related fields with experience in oilfield industry
2 years mud logging experience, MWD/LWD experience or oilfield related experience
Basic understanding of drilling operations
Understanding of the Well Information Transfer Specification and Mark up Language (WITS level 0 and WITSML)
Experience in Customer Support handling high volumes of requests (Support Center)
The ability to effectively multitask and prioritize your daily tasks
Understanding of Support Center environment (team work, rotating schedule, team meetings, and knowledge transfer)
Basic computer and IT network related skills
Basic project management skills
Good communication (both written and oral), presentation, leadership, teaming and organizational skills.
Technical Proficiency
Ability to interact with shop and foreign support persons in the field and in corporate settings
Familiar with and willing to take on International Travel (Up to date passport needed for international travel)

-ตำแหน่งนี้ทำงานที่กรุงเทพครับ ไม่มีลง offshore อาจจะมีลงไปดูงาน แต่งานหลักอยู่ที่ฝั่ง
-ดู real time log และเตรียม data ให้ลูกค้าตามที่ลูกค้าต้องการ
-แก้ log ในบริเวณที่มีปัญหา (High tension, poor data quality, etc)
-ทำ merge log ระหว่าง CBL กับ OH log เพื่อใช้ในงาน perf
-ทำ Composite log เพื่อส่งลูกค้าและทางการ
-ตอบปัญหาลูกค้าที่ฝั่งเวลามีปัญหา ทางฝั่งเขาก็ดู data พร้อมกันกับ offshore ถ้ามีปัญหาเขาก็จะถามคุณเป็นคนแรกเลยครับ
-แปลผลจาก Pulsed Neutron Log ให้เป็น OH log
-Etc มีเยอะครับ ข้างบนนั้นคืองานที่ทำประจำเป็นหลัก
ลืมบอกนะครับว่าทำงานแบบออฟฟิตทั่วไป แต่เพราะคุณต้อง ดังนั้นถ้าเริ่ม log ตอน ตี 1คุณก็ต้องมาที่ออฟฟิตเพื่อดูและทำ data ให้ลูกค้า เสาร์ อาทิตย์ สงการณ์ ปีใหม่ ก็เช่นกันครับ ถ้ามี log ก็ต้องมาทำงาน
แล้วคุณ log analysist ก็มาช่วยเพิ่มเติมตามนี้ครับ
มาเพิ่มให้อีกนิดหน่อยค่ะ ต่อจากEngineer on TD-16 งานหลักคือ QC wireline logging realtime
- discuss logging data ที่ผิดปกติ กับ logging Eng แล้วแจ้งกับหัวหน้าและลูกค้าเพื่อตัดสินใจ ว่า จะ run tool ตัวนี้ต่อหรือเปลี่ยน tool
- ถ้า tool ปกติก็ plot realtime logให้ลูกค้า งานที่ทำเพิ่มเติมอาจจะต้อง present tool แต่ละตัวตามที่ลูกค้าสนใจ หรือบางทีอาจต้อง present การ process data ใหม่ๆ เพื่อให้ลูกค้ามั่นใจว่า data ที่เค้าได้รับนั้นถูกต้อง
-เราสามารถไปต่อยอดเป็น Petrophysicist ก็ได้ค่ะ

Position Summary:
HSE Specialists Phitsanulok and Songkhla support Weatherford in achieving compliance with customer requirements, legal requirements and company standards in Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment matters.

1.Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment
1.Comply with and assist others to comply with Customer, Legal and Weatherford standards in accordance with the Weatherford OEPS Management System, including:
1.1 Regular attendance and participation in safety & tool box meetings.
1.2 Active participation in incident reporting (RADAR; WPTS).
1.3 Promote a positive QHSSE culture and lead by example.

1.5 Active involvement in the raising, investigation, progression and close-out of Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CPARs), RADAR cards and other WPTS entries for Northern Thailand.
1.6 Identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
◦ Take care of all local, regional and corporate QHSSE administration matters relating to Northern and Songkhla Thailand.
◦Participate in customers programs and meetings as required.
◦Support, develop, guide and report on QHSSE aspects of the Weatherford Northern and Southern Thailand activities in order to achieve compliance with customer and company standards.
◦Support the implementation of OEPS.
◦Act as Base Safety Officer by monitoring activities on site including those of third party contractors
◦Coordinate the Site Emergency Response Plan and required drills
◦Coordinate the Site Risk/Aspect register
◦Coordinate Site environmental matters (waste disposal, waste water quality, etc.)
◦Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the QHSSE Manager, as required.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant Weatherford and Industry QHSSE standards and practices.
Good knowledge of relevant business processes, including policies, procedures, work instructions and legislation.
Good customer and employee interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good application knowledge of relevant computer software.
Required Experience:
Practical Industry experience.
