We are a multinational Company engaged in the exploration for, and the development and production of, oil and natural gas, onshore Thailand and Hong Kong/China. We require additional persons to assist in our Production Team.
Senior Geologist
Location: Bangkok - Thailand
Job Specification :
Assume responsibility for a geographic region to map formations, determine drilling locations, geologic well design and evaluation.
Maintain knowledge of internal corporate activity and historical information for assigned geographic region.
Analyze and interpret geological and geophysical information from sources such as survey data, well logs, bore holes, outcrop etc.
Prepare geological maps, cross-sectional diagrams, charts, and reports concerning oil and gas extraction and resources management.
Maintain necessary regulatory filings and deal with Government regulatory organization
Geologic data integration with drilling and completion operations.
Requirements :
Ability to develop geologic and structural models in conjunction with geophysical interpretation
Strong critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems taking into consideration the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Good working knowledge and experience in fracture reservoir and formation especially igneous formation.
Experience with well planning, geologic operations supervision, geo-steering and data integration.
Possess proven experience as a hydrocarbon finder with the ability to integrate subsurface, production and geophysical data into cohesive plan and prospect development.
Bachelor or higher degree in Geology or Petroleum Engineering.
Experience at least 10 plus years of industry experience and will be responsible for specifying, acquiring, and evaluating geological data required in the identification, mapping, drilling, and operation of oil and gas prospects.
Experience in interpreting well logs, subsurface mapping, and wellsite procedures
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Geologist
The successful candidate will be motivated, energetic and have a good command of English. The candidate should also have a high level of confidence, will be used to working in a multi-national environment, and must have a working background in the petroleum industry.
