I am watching Winter Olympics!
It is Thursday evening. February night is typically cold in Minnesota. So I am sitting in front of TV, watching the final round of Winter Olympics 2006 from Torino (Turin) in Northen Italy. This is funny to the fact that I did not really have a clue about winter sports let alone Olympics sports. Well, until this year.
It is important to note that Thailand has one and only athlete participate in this mega sport event. I wrote in the previous entry that Professor Prawat Nagvajara from Drexel University competed in 15K classic cross country. Although he finished last, 97th from 99 participants (the other two did not reach finish line), he won over fans hearts and impression. If use keyword "nagvajara 2006" searching on google, you will see result of what I am talking about.
Tonight the big show is ladies figure skate - free skating. There are some contenders such as Sasha Cohen, Irina Slutskaya, and Shizuko Arakawa. All three are leaders from the short program on Tuesday. The competition is supposed to be tight and exciting.
It will be fun !
