Geologist, Operations; 2 Vacancies

Responsibilities:
Job Purpose :-
Geologist, Operations is in charge of evaluating the gas in place of the development platform area and performs the development well targeting as a part of the development team including Development Geophysicists, Reservoir Engineers and Drilling Engineers. He/she follows up the drilling and logging operations of development wells. He/she works under the supervision of Senior Development Geologists.
Key Accountabilities :-
Evaluate each well in terms of pay/non-pay reservoirs by using electric logs and any kind of data related to the wells e.g. pressure data, fluid samples and production data
Perform well to well correlation in order to define reservoir names and their fluid connectivity in an accumulation. Integrates seismic, geological and production data to design the proven and/or probable and/or possible cases of net sand and net pay maps
Perform volumetric calculation of original hydrocarbon in place following the given methodology
Coordinate with Development team to integrate all relevant data for target definition and location in order to maximize the gas and oil production. Ensure that the final well trajectory reaches all defined targets with adequate and appropriate logging and testing programs in order to be cost effective
Coordinate with the team to prepare general and specific well proposals and to distribute accordingly to partners
Follow up drilling and logging operations and provides geological advice to the team. Enable to be in charge of the geological duty officer during unofficial hours
Assist and support Senior Geologists for special studies as required increasing his/ her competency
Job End Results :-
Original hydrocarbon in place evaluation report or memorandum including the figures of original gas and oil in place for further reserve estimation.
Standard reservoir maps books for given platforms that are regularly updated.
Provides recommendation for additional development wells
General and specific well proposals
To ensure that the well data are correctly and adequately acquired
Contributes to final well reports
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Geology.
5 years experience in petroleum geology including 2 years experience in development geology
Knowledge of geophysics, reservoir and drilling
Good skill in use of workstations and relevant software e.g. CPS3, Charisma, WellPix

Experienced Directional Driller (DD)
JOB SCOPE
Train to execute Directional Drilling field services role in the drilling and logging of oil or gas wells
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Train to operate and maintain motors and down hole tools at rig site
Train to interpret down hole data and liaise with LWD/MWD Engineers, company men and geologists.
Train to generate daily and Final Well reports on service performance.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT:
Experience Thai or other nationalities Directional Driller
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Earth Sciences Thorough knowledge of Drilling Systems products and services
Able to work in teams effectively
Excellent communication, organization, troubleshooting and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to motivate and develop staff
Willingness to learn new skills
Available to work in Thailand and overseas location
