HSE Development and Deployment
Takes a visible and active leadership role to ensure operations are planned and executed in accordance with all company HSE policies and requirements. Reinforces HSE tool usage on all aspects of day to day operations including PTW, LOTO, SSE, JSAs, use of Stop Work Authority and Safety Meetings, Tenets of Operations, Why Tree Investigations, Near Miss Reporting, etc. Ensures Site Specific SIMOPS are well planned, documented and followed during all operations. Ensures effective usage of BBS & HazOB programs and training for Chevron and Contractor personnel. Visible leader in OE performance in the business unit and particularly within D&C. Serves on various leadership teams and leads or participates in various safety meetings on regular basis.
Daily Operations
Responsible overall for execution for concentric completions, well interventions and abandonment activities with wireline, electricline, coil tubing and pumping equipment. Reviews and understands all programs. Initiates Management of Change (MOC), and contingency plans. Provides direction to on-site personnel on all aspects of concentric completions, well interventions and abandonment activities on a daily basis. Ensures all the operations are conducted in accordance with sound engineering practices and compliance with all environment and safety laws and regulations. Reviews on-going operations daily and advises Field Manager on progress and risks associated with job scopes or changes in scope. Ensures management of change processes are in place, understood and functioning throughout the course of all operations. Analyzes feasibility of changing needs or changes in work requests and communicates with Field Manager regarding risk factors to consider and engages fully in the development and execution of HAZOP or Risk Assessment activities. Proactively initiates discussions to address job scope changes.
Cost Control
Effectively utilizes all applicable D&C contractor resources available for support. Reviews field service tickets for accuracy to insure proper invoicing and cost control. Closely monitors all aspects of costs to insure accurate accounting procedures are followed for reliable field cost recording.
Personnel Administration
Sets clear expectations and provides feedback to employees and Contractor personnel. Effectively delegates to allow ample room for employee growth and development. Supports the national training goals. Counsels Contractor personnel with respect to performance planning. Monitors performance of numerous Contractor personnel and equipment to safely deliver optimum efficiency and equipment reliability. Acts as mentor and supervisor to personnel including but not limited to well site Contractor personnel.
