Honestly, I didn't know what I would end up making when I started searching on the internet..what I wanted is something with cream cheese (cuz I've got it laying in the fridge for agess) ..! Then there seems to be a million recipes with cream cheese shown up on the google lists...
Ohh well.. the longer I looked through, the less time I got in hand..then out of sudden, biscuit came through my mind and I immediately searched for cream cheese biscuit !
This biscuit was not actually what I wanted to make..but the one I chose to begin with couldn't be opened on the window..so I aimed for this one which it turned out to be good and I could say this is the quickest thing I've ever made !! the taste is similar to KFC biscuit but a bit saltier...Although , the original recipe is called cream cheese breakfast biscuit but I think it's also good to be eaten any time of the day ..with or without anything !!
The recipe (adapted)
2 cups flour 1 tbsp Baking Powder 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp caster sugar 3 ounces cream cheese 65 g butter 2/3 cup milk
Mix together dry ingredients, cut in cream cheese and butter. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, pour in milk. Mix together to form a ball. Turn out onto floured service and knead 10-12 times. Roll out to ½ inch thick and cut into rounds. Bake 10-12 minutes at 450.
Khun Jiji_jida , it's similar to scone..only the fact that it's rather savory than sweet (like scone normally is)..no harm done if you treat it as scone anyway!! :)
