Bioluminescent Bay อ่าวเรืองแสงสุดมหัศจรรย์น่าทึ่ง
 กลับมาพบกับความเป็นที่สุดในโลกกันอีกครั้ง วันนี้เราจะพาไปชื่นชมความมหัศจรรย์ของธรรมชาติกันครับ หลายๆคนอาจจะเคยดูภาพยนต์สุดอลังการของผู้กำกับ อั้งลี่ อย่างเรื่องล่าสุด Life of Pi ที่เราได้เห็นทะเลเรืองแสงสวยงามในบางฉาก  และวันนี้เราจะพาไปชมสถานที่จริงที่สามารถเรื่องแสงได้อย่างในหนังเรื่องนี้เลยครับ และอาจจะเป็นไปได้ว่าสถานที่แห่งนี้คือแนวคิดของฉากทะเลเรื่องแสงในหนังก็เป็นได้

สถานที่ดังกล่าวนี้มีชื่อว่า Bioluminescent Bay เป็นอ่าวเรืองแสงขึ้นชื่อตั้งอยู่ในชายฝั่งทะเลคาริบเบียน (Caribbean coast) ในประเทศเปอร์โตริโก ความมหัศจรรย์ของน้ำทะเลที่นี่ก็คือเมื่อถึงเวลากลางคืน ถ้าเราสัมผัสกับน้ำมันจะเรื่องแสงเป็นสีฟ้าเขียวสวยงาม ที่มาของแสงดังกล่าวนี้เกิดจาก แพลงตอนพืช และสัตว์ขนาดเล็ก ที่เรียกกว่า Bioluminescent Dinoflagellates กว่า 720,000 เซล ต่อน้ำหนึ่งแกลลอน ด้วยการที่แพลงตอนพืช Bioluminescent Dinoflagellates มันจะสะสมพลังงานจากแสงอาทิตย์เอาไว้ในตอนกลางวัน และจะปล่อยแสงสีน้ำเงินออกมาในตอนกลางคืน เมื่อมีการสั่นสะเทือนของน้ำ ดังนั้นเมือเราสัมผัสหรือทำให้เกิดความเคลื่อนไหวของน้ำจึงจะเกิดแสงสีฟ้าเขียวสวยงามนี้

การเรืองแสงของแพลงตอนดังกล่าวจะอยู่ได้นาน 2-3 ชั่วโมงเท่านั้น หลังจกนั้นแสงจะค่อยๆลดลงเรื่อยๆ  แต่ว่าแสงที่เราได้เห็นนั้นในช่วงแรกจะมีความสว่างมาก ในคืนเดือนมืดถึงกับอ่านหนังสือได้เลยทีเดียว นักท่องเที่ยวนิยมพายเรือไปชื่นชมแสงมหัศจรรย์แห่งนี้ในตอนกลางคืนด้วยเรือคายัค และลงว่ายน้ำให้มีแสง ถือเป็นสิ่งที่สวยงามและเกิดขึ้นเองตามธรรมชาติจริงๆ โลกของเรานั้นยังมีความสวยงามและมหัศจรรย์อีกมากมายที่เรายังไม่ได้พบเจอ และนี่ก็ถือเป็นสิ่งที่มหัศจรรย์และน่าถึงที่สุดในโลก ขอยกย่องให้อ่าวแห่งนีเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่น่าทึ่งที่สุดในโลกไปเลยครับ
