These drawers enable kids to get their own food, and wont interrupt your food preparation.  KITCHEN ISLANDS: There are portable and fixed kitchen islands that add storage and extra counter space. Islands with casters are ideal for kitchens that need flexibility in space and function. Fixed kitchen islands can house shelves, drawers, a lower microwave shelf, and display area for cookbooks and collectibles. Kitchen organizer professionals can also help you plan out each storage space to get the maximum use out of your cabinets and drawers.  OPEN SHELVING: Dont forget to use open shelves over the counter to maximize on storage and display at the same time. Consider storing dishware, and decorative pieces on open shelves. Pots and pans can hang from pot racks to add storage and ease in cooking over the stove. Storage isnt always about hiding items. Extreme Design Makeover: Garage Turned into Modern Living Area
SHED Architecture & Design is a team from Seattle that has recently redesigned a 320-square-foot garage, turning it into an amazing living space. This renovated garage has so much to offer, that it resembles in functionality with a common all-equipped apartment. The team that did the conversion made sure the garage function was kept and so they came up with a lot of ingenious solutions for storage. One of this ideas was to use an old garage support for storing kitchen pots. Bookshelves can be found all around this modern space, as a cool and subtle system of shelving was also implemented. We really like the bedroom area and we think sleeping there could be fun.  The Fish House is an exotic residence designed by Guz Architects and located in Singapore. The main idea behind this home was to ensure a connection with nature and with the surrounding landscapes in particular. The Fish House is said to be a modern tropical bungalow that is perfectly integrated in its climate and environment, as its architecture and open spaces encourage natural ventilation and its floor to ceiling windows allow unobstructed views of the sea. Here is more information from the architects, regarding this projects sustainable elements : The idea of connection is reinforced by having the basement level media-room with a u-shaped acrylic window which allows diffuse natural light in and also views out into the pool. The curved roofs, which symbolize the sea waves, also emphasize the idea of the nearby sea. These are almost totally covered with thin bendable photovoltaic panels supplying enough energy to the house, while the remaining area is used as a green roof giving residents some outdoor leisure spaces.

5 Ways to Make Your Home Office Space Productive
Lets be honest, do you have a home office? Not the kind of home office that you have beautiful office furniture in, yet you only use it to store books. I mean the kind of home office that you have to be productive in. Whether its your main area for working, you use it for paying bills, using the computer, etc
Your home office is meant to be a place where you can be productive and feel good in when you come into it, and leave it! If you dont feel good about your home office space, heres 5 ways to make your home office space more productive. 
1.) DECLUTTER: Take an inventory of your home office. How much of the contents of your space are used continually? How much of it has been sitting for weeks, months
maybe years?! Before moving on to any other step, declutter. Determine what office supplies you need, for all the others give away, or use in another room in your home like your kids rooms! 2.) CLEAN: This tip is accurate for any room or space you are in. When your environment is clean, so is your mind to be creative and productive. If you have trash, old newspapers, and 100 magazine subscriptions cluttering your desk, clean it up! 
3.) PRIORITIZE: Figure out what items in your office are used for your activity in the office. If a television is in your office, but you look at it, more than working than its time to remove it. Kids toys and the dogs brush shouldnt be in your office space. When you start using the space for more than its intended use, you will do that activity before you work. 4.) ORGANIZE: Now that youve successfully done the first few tips, its time to organize your remaining space. Divide your room into zones. 1 Storage: Items that can go in a closet, such as office supplies, and rarely used reference materials. 2 Desk Items: Only the bare necessities, pens/pencils, computer, stapler and tape. Everything else needs a home inside of a desk drawer to prevent a cluttered desk. 3 Display: For books, and magazines use organizers that go on a bookshelf. These organizers can group them together, and be reached in a moment. A few pictures and mementos can be used to personalize your space. 
5.) LIGHT: If your home office is dark, figure out the culprit. Open up windows, buy different window treatments, or bring in lighting fixtures that will brighten your space. When you can see clearly you are more likely to stay in that space. Also make sure there is good ventilation and temperature control. If you are too hot, or cold, you will quickly want to leave your office.
Your home office should be as comfortable as your living room. Productivity can be achieved when you are relaxed, organized, and want to stay in the space. Doing office work isnt always enjoyable, but you can at least make your office enjoyable, right?
