สัมภาษณ์ราฟาค่ะ "I knew Gael was not at his best," said Nadal, bidding for a second straight hardcourt title after winning the Australian Open.
"It's not so nice to win like this but I'm very happy to be in this final.
"It's hard to concentrate, you never know if the opponent is going to retire or play on. In the final I'll try my best, it's great to be in a final on a fast surface."
"It felt uncomfortable 20 minutes after yesterday's quarter-final," Murray said after the match. "I hope it will not be a problem for the final. It didn't bother me today as I played really well."
He added: "The physiotherapist examined my ankle but could not find any damage.
"It is part of the reason I won't play in Marseille next week. I now will try getting my ankle better coming week and preparing for hard-court tournaments to come."
"Andy has had a wonderful season and is playing at al great tennis level. He simple was better than me today, he deserves the Rotterdam title and I congratulate him for that were the words of Rafa at the trophy ceremony.
It wasnt my day, but I dont want to steal Andys thunder, is not the time to talk about me and my issues. He simple deserved this win, there is nothing more to say to that the World number one completed.
//www.abnamrowtt.nl/content.cfm?pers_id=139&cat=2&lang=1 Even after losing the match Rafael Nadal showed he is a great champion. He didnt want to talk about his injured knee after the final. It is not a serious injury, especially compared to the knee injury that kept me from playing at the end of last year., said the Spaniard shortly after his loss against Andy Murray, his first final against the Scotsman.
I rather talk about the good game of my opponent, who can look back at a fantastic tournament. I know how well he is able to play and in the final he has shown that time after time. He has only lost once this season, to Verdasco in Australia. He won the tournament of Doha and now here in Rotterdam. One of Nadals main strengths is his mental strength. He always sees solutions instead of problems. He has a tendency to always look at thing positively. I want to look at this experience from a positive point of view. Up till now I am having an excellent season, with my victory in the Australian Open and a final in this very strong indoor tournament. I am very happy with my results here, playing very good matches against Bolelli and Tsonga. In the second set of the final Nadal received treatment for his knee injury. It was an option to withdraw, said the worlds number one. But it wouldnt have been the right choice. You dont do that in a final. Not for your opponent, nor for the crowd and not for yourself. What I need now, is rest. I havent been home in one and a half months. Do I return here? The tournament is only in a year, but I would say: Why not?
