Prague, Czech Republic

The buildings, streets and monuments of Prague literally ooze history and many of them date from as far back as the ninth century. Prague was virtually undamaged during the Second World War and as a result most of the historical architecture is remarkably well preserved. The incredible Charles Bridge is one of Prague's signature attractions. It is more than half a kilometre long and it's amazing to think that it was built more than 650 years ago without the use of modern machinery. Walking through the streets of the city you'd be forgiven for thinking you've fallen into the pages of a fairytale book, yet Prague is a modern and dynamic place, and the richness of its history simply adds another flavour to this delicious adventure.
