Whether the growing of the multinational corporation is contribute to the global homogeneity. Granted, the multinational corporations movement during last two decades has influenced to many demand of the customers. Some people in some generation start to want the same products and services. However, I disagree that this kind of phenomenon will quickly brought to the lost of regional difference.
Admittedly, many multinational enterprises have risen and expanded into other countries which are not their own countries to do business. Those expansions have affected to the global demand in which demand of many people in different parts of the world are the same. For example, in case of the Apple Company, Multinational company based in United States, have launched a new designed phone called iPhone. Since it is Apple is not only do marketing campaign only in United States, but also expanding its business in other regions such as Asia. So, right now a lot of Asia people including Thailand also would like to purchase a new design of phone from Apple Company.
However, although it seems that demands of people are to be the same, the existence of regional difference is still. Regional difference refers to different culture, behavior, norm and way of life. It is impossible that their behavior or norm will be changed according to such a booming of global company. Culture of each countries are difference and not easy to change. Even though, they buy products of multinational corporations, they do not change their behaviors. For instance, in my country, Thailand, people have rice for their meal while people go to McDonalds, instead of buying hamburger, many people choose to buy fried rice chicken. Conversely, the company has to adopt itself to comply with those countries they invest like the quote that Think global Act Locally"
In conclusion, I agree in the statement insofar as the rises of Multinational Corporation will stimulus people from other parts of the world to demand the same products or service. And those people from different part of the world will somehow want the same product or service. However, in finally, the regional difference of people will not disappear.
Hi, I am very pleased to have my own blog. This blog was inspired from a friend from Pantip -Klaiban.... Actually I do write diary in my book..not everyday but quite often.. and in Thai.
I started to know Klaiban (Pantip) when I intended to have a Toefl test and found out adviser there. Many friends gave recommend on my essays and encouraged me in writing. I wish I can do it better.
