Today I'm gonna introduce everyone to another korean food called Japchae 잡채. Well~ this dish is usually regarded as a side dish in most Korean restaurants & it's really a very easy dish to prepare. And I think all sesame oil lovers may wish to give this dish a try b( ^v^ )d
- 1 handful of dangmyeon / 당면 (cellophane noodle) ¹ - 1 chicken drumstick + thigh ² - 1 stick of carrot - 1 stalk of spring onion - 1 purple onion (you can use big white onion too) - 1 handful of bean sprouts - 1 yellow capsicum (you may exclude this if you dunn like) - 1 garlic - 1 tsp of cooking oil - 3-4 tbsp of sesame oil - Light soy sauce * - Dark soy sauce * - Stock soup
* Add accordingly; depending on how salty you want your dish to be. Preferrably once you see your noodle is turning to a golden brown tone, you should stop adding.
- 1 light soy sauce - 1 tbsp sesame oil - 1/2 tsp cornflour - 1 sprinkle of salt - 1 dash of pepper
i) After wash chicken drumstick & thigh, remove the skin & bones ii) Cut the meat into stripes iii) Add in light soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper & mix well iv) Add in cornflour & mix well again v) Leave for a minimum of 15mins for the seasoning to set in
1) Cut carrot, spring onion, purple onion & yellow capsicum into stripes 2) Remove the head & tails of bean sprouts 3) Chop the garlic 3) Pour 1 tsp of cooking oil into heated frying pan & stir-fry chopped garlic 4) Add in marinated chicken meat & stir-fry 5) Add in dangmyeon / 당면 (cellophane noodle) & prepared vegetables 6) Stir-fry & mix well 7) Add in sesame oil, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, stock soup & mix well 8) Stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes before serving
