Today is my 12th flight since I start flying, and also my last flight with "Trainee" after my name.
My duty is very easy, only following the intructions of Supervisor which is anwer his questions about safety wise, prepare cabin for take-off and landing, arm and disarm door and check emergency equipment....Not that easy tho.
The flight to Teharan was nice, passengers were fine and good as always. Me, and crews, we did service and safety very well. We are enjoying the flight very much and hope the way coming back to Kuwait would be OK too.
Of coure, before taking off from Teharan, I have to go walk in the cabin and tell passenger to fasten seat belt, secure food table in front of you, open window blind and blah blah, doing my job.
There was one passenger, Kuwaitti I think, he sat in the middle of economy cabin. First time I went for seat belt, everybody followed my intruction very well. Second time I went double check for same thing and NOW...I found this guy, he didn't stow his food table because he was using for reading newspaper.
Then, I told him in the nice way with my smiling face that, "Please close your table, we are about to take off." He suddenly put his newspaper down and look at me in a really angry look, raise his voice up and say "WHY YOU ARE BOTHERING ME SO MUCH???" I was so shocked, He continued with louder voice, "I KNOW WE HAVE TO CLOSE THIS FOR TAKING OFF BUT NOW WE ARE NOT MOVING YET. LEAVE ME ALONE!!" I stood alone in the cabin with all passengers around there looked at me like I did horrible mistake to this guy. I numbed whole body. What can I do? I can not even go protecting myself......Jeezzz!! This is my first time facing this kind of problem, this is real life man, not the interviewing for getting a job.
So, all I can do was just walking back to the galley and of course I told my Supervisor this shitty thing, just for his advice next time to do better, not standing there with shocking face like I just did.
But hell NO! He said this is not correct....So, my supervisor, he went immediately to that guy and asking if he had any problem with this lady, which is me.
F_cking double shock, do you know what he said???
He said, "I don't like the way she talked to me, it was very rude." !!!!!
What!!??? Was I rude to you, SIR? F_cking LIAR...... After that, he wrote the complaination, very very long one for company.
My first complaining from the thing I didn't do. Lucky me that all passengers there could see my politely way and all crews know how nice I am. So, I have to let him go and leave it on the aircraft after I went down.....cause there was nothing to give a damn for.
After that I heard crew said he was Captain before, I don't wonder why his ego is that big!! "Only one different from Captain and God is....God never think that He is a Captain."....That is so true, most of them I mean.
Only my 12th flight, I had bad experience dealing with passenger. One moment today I thought that just go resign, why do I have to stand this kind of thing?
But no, I am not going to. At least, I have learned so many many things from it. I grew up one step from him, I am promoted myself to the strength one, better not let tear drop! And I also have nice passengers all the rest and nice crews, nice chief cabin and nice supervisor. Why do I have to give a damn with this old-big ego-ex Captain?
So, next time you go on plane, please please please plase Mr. and Mrs. Passenger, be kind to us and follow our instrustion, we are doing this for your safety.
"Thank you for joining us, hope to see you on board once again."
