Puerto Rico's Stephanie del Valle is the new Miss World 2016!
Miss Puerto Rico Stephanie Del Valle defeated 116 other contestants to emerge as the winner of the Miss World 2016 crown. Miss Dominican Republic Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramírez was named runner-up, while Miss Indonesia Natasha Mannuela came third in the contest.
During the Question & Answer round, Miss Puerto Rico was asked, "If you have an opportunity to change something about the world, then what would that be?" To this she replied saying, "I think what I would do is send a message of how important it is to change exclusion for acceptance, to promote and provide the justice to others and the importance of helping those in need."
The top five contestants who entered the final round are Miss Kenya, Miss Philippines, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Philippines. Miss Mongolia won the People's Choice Award and earned a free pass to enter the finale round, but she failed to make it to the top five.
