Becoming Miss World takes more than just beauty and poise. The new Miss World must be able to handle herself under the pressure of mainstream media and today that skill was put to the test at the Miss World Press Conference.

I had the pleasure of sitting in on the Press Conference as Media Outlets from the Philippines, France, the UK, and all around the world interviewed, filmed, and photographed the candidates. Many girls were taken aside by different reporters and asked questions about their journeys to England, their various "Beauty with a Purpose" charity projects, why they wanted to be Miss World and much much more.

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO was determined to represent her small nation to as many reporters as possible, while PHILIPPINES was asked about the pressure of coming from the country with the reigning Miss World. Megan looked stunning in a pink two piece outfit, wearing her sash and crown and showing the new contestants exactly how to present yourself to the press.

All in all, it was a great morning for the girls to get a taste of what it would be like to be Miss World, then it was back to rehearsals....
