Miss World 2012 at the Ordos Agriculture Museum
Miss World 2012 at the Ordos Agriculture Museum 05 August 2012 Another hot day dawned in China as our contestants headed to the Agriculture Museum of Ordos. Dominating the entrance was a statue of Shennong Shi - the man who wrote one of the first books documenting different herbs and their medicinal uses. All around there were flowerbeds full of colourful blooms - plus some enormous statues of farm animals that the delegates were keen to take photos of. Inside the museum itself, the contestants had the chance to see some full-scale models depicting traditional farming and crop harvesting methods. A gigantic loom occupied one room, in another a mill stone set up to grind seeds, and in another a full-size replica of a farm worker's hut that the ladies took turns to step inside. The room with a display of different shoes proved to be particularly popular! With so many things to see it felt that time there was too short, but with more adventures in store, it was back aboard the buses and on to the next stop.
