สวัสดีค่ะ เป็นอย่างที่คิดไว้ค่ะ พี่ล่ำถอนตัวจาก TMC แล้ว เพื่อจะได้ฟื้นร่างกายเตรียมลงแข่ง DC ซึ่งมีความหมายกับพี่ล่ำมาก และการรักษานี้ต้องใช้เวลา 6-7 วัน ถ้าพี่ล่ำลงเล่นที่ TMC ก็จะไม่ทัน... เคารพในการตัดสินใจของพี่ล่ำค่ะ ปีนี้เป็นปีที่ดีมาก ๆ ของพี่ล่ำ ได้เป็นมือ 1 จนจบฤดูกาล ถึงเวลาได้พักซักทีค่ะ พี่ล่ำ^^พักผ่อนเยอะ ๆ นะคะ กลับมาคว้าแชมป์เดวิสคัพปิดท้ายปี อ้อ...ซีมงจะได้สิทธิ๋เข้ามาเล่นแทนค่ะ อีกเรื่องนึงค่ะ คือแฟน ๆใน VB คุยกันว่า ไม่รู้พี่ล่ำต้องบินไปเซี่ยงไฮ้รึเปล่า ไปรับรางวัลมือ 1 ของโลก ( หวังว่าคงไม่ต้องนะคะ แทนที่จะได้พักกับต้องมานั่งเครื่องบินนาน ๆ ) TMC ปีนี้รู้สึกกร่อยเลยค่ะ ไม่มีพี่ล่ำก็ไม่รู้จะเชียร์ใคร ตอนนี้ตั้งหน้าตั้งตารอ DC ค่ะ ขอให้อาการบาดเจ็บของพี่ล่ำหาย พาสเปนคว้าแชมป์ให้ได้

NOT PLAYING IN SHANGHAI

Dear fans and media reps,
It has been a long and difficult year where I managed to obtain great results, both on a professional and on a personal level. I have mentioned in various occasions that the tennis calendar has been extremely hard with practically every single week playing. This forces us players to put pressure on our bodies, making it impossible for a top level player to be 100% at each event.
On a personal level I had as one of my goals to become #1 during this year and competing at so many events might have harmed, specially at the end of the season, my physical condition, taking away the power needed to play at a high level in these last events. I don´t know if this has been a mistake or not but the fact is that with the goal achieved I also have to take one of the most difficult and painful decisions:
I have decided not to compete at the Masters Cup in Shanghai. As I say this is one of the most difficult decisions in my career due to the importance of the event and above all, due to the fact that I wont be able to share time with the fans in China and the tournament organizers that always have treated me in such special way.
I am deeply saddened and disappointed for my fans around the world that expected to see me in Shanghai. I do however, expect to be there again in October 09 for the ATP Masters 1000 event in Shanghai.
I know that many people were speculating about this matter and even though I have yet not done any tests, I can honestly say I have taken the right decision. I want to recover and get ready for the Davis Cup final in Mar del Plata, Argentina. That is also another reason for not going to Shanghai.

วันนี้พี่ล่ำจะเดินทางไปเมือง Barcelona เพื่อเข้ารับการรักษากับหมอค่ะ

พึ่งไปอ่านเจอมาค่ะ แฟน VBท่านนึง แปลจากภาษาสเปนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษน่าสนใจค่ะ เกี่ยวกับอาการของราฟาและเรื่องเดวิส คัพ ^_^

Toni said that Rafa's participation in the DC Final is still in doubt, unless he doesn't play Shanghai in order to arrive to Mar del Plata in the best conditions.
He said that if Rafa is not at his best he won't play DC. There are other spaniards that could play better. However if he doesn't attend Shanghai he is going to play DC because he will have enough time to recover.
He explained that Rafael suffer from tendonitis and he is going to rest until Monday or Tuesday and then he will have a magnetic resonance imaging scan.
Toni said, referring to Shanghai, that if you have to play with players with the level of Nalbandian and Del Potro you have to be at your best.

Toni also said that if he had to choose he prefers his nephew to win the Masters, though DC is more prestigious, because TMC gives you 700 points that are always very helpful for the following season.
He insisted about Argentina being the favorite because of the surface, the support of the public and the great level of its players.
He also complaint about the calendar citing that it's not acceptable to win money at the expense of player's health and wellbeing.
He said that the courts are too hard, the ball is too fast and if you play from January to November, travelling all around the world, your body ends up sore.
