ในสมัยที่ผม ยังอยู่ในวัยเยาว์ ได้เคยชมภาพยนต์เรื่อง ขุมทองแมคเคนน่า (Mackenna's Gold) และ ได้ชมอีกหลายครั้ง ที่ยังจำได้เสมอ คือ ดาราแสดงนำ เช่น เกรเกอรี่ เป็ค, โอมาร์ ชารีพ หรือ เทลลี่ ซาลาวาส แต่ที่จำได้ขึ้นใจ คือ ส่วนหนึ่งของบทเพลง ที่ว่า " you can live without that gold " เป็นความจริงที่ว่า คุณสามารถที่จะมีชีวิตอยู่ได้โดยปราศจากทอง แต่ ตอนจบของภาพยนต์เรื่องนี้ พระเอกและนางเอกก็ได้เดินทางกลับ พร้อมกับ "ถุงทอง" นั่น คือ บทสรุปที่ว่า แต่ "คุณสามารถที่จะมีชีวิตอย่างมีความสะดวกสบายและมีความสุข ถ้าหากว่า คุณมีทองคำ"
