Lake Tahoe + Snow & Cold weather....012009 Last wednesday I & my husband went to Lake Tahoe, Lake Tahoe is one of the most deepest Lake in the world or the 2nd deepest Lake in USA.. I'm sorry I have to write in English because I just got a new laptop and I'm trying to figure out how to write Thai without having Thai letters sticker on my laptop key broad.. General informations about Lake Tahoe: Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains of the United States. It is located along the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson City, Nevada. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America. Its depth is 1,645 ft (501 m) making it America's second-deepest. The lake was formed about 2 million years ago and is a part of the Lake Tahoe Basin with the modern Lake being shaped during the Ice Ages. The lake is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides.The area surrounding the lake is also referred to as Lake Tahoe, or simply Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is a major tourist attraction for both California and Nevada. It is home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's economy and reputation. Mountain and lake scenery are attractions throughout the year. The Nevada side also includes large casinos. Highways provide year-round access from Reno, Carson City and Sacramento. My husband seemed to be really excited, he haven't been a snow broading for several years due to he has lived in Asia for 7 years... We woke up early morning like 4 am and left home around 5 am. We spent time on the road approximately 3.25 hrs... It was wonderful driving up on the mountain (9,000 ft from sea level.) which was covered by snow ... Photos when we were on the road driving up on the Mountain.. Shane was getting ready Shane was going to do a snow broad lesson due to he missed practicing a for a couple years Shane and his buddy in a snow broad class were going up together This little girl she is probably 3 years old was skiing with her Dad.. Cafeteria, there weren't so many choices of food.. This little one looked so cute too After a couple hours on the hill, Shane came down to see me.. Shane and peoples in a snow broad class I am told by Shane, I looked just like a little Eskimo I ate a plate of French fried and fried chicken hmmm yummi and so healthy hehe. We were in the ski area for 4 hrs and drove up to the hotel where we made a reservation for 1 night. Its called Marriott Timberland. It was soooo cool hotel, we had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big kitchen, small kitchen's corner in the 2nd bedroom. Big living room and fire place.. also we got 3 televisions. We made a reservation for 2 bedrooms because of just in case some of our friends would be coming to join us later on. Unfortunately, they couldn't make it so the room was kind of big for just 2 peoples. 1st bedrooms Bathroom in the 1st bedroom 2nd bedroom bathroom in the 2nd bedroom View from our room Fire place Going to the Lake Area.. it was sooooo cold and windy. Most of hotels, homes and restaurants are made from wood. Snow became ice or water became ice..im not sure about it.. And later on we drove back home..
