Worst Best Book You’ve Ever Read: March 19, 2009

How about, “What’s the worst ‘best’ book you’ve ever read — the one everyone says is so great, but you can’t figure out why?”

There are some that quite disappointing. But I can't think of any one that really, really sucks. I mean the long-standing established "Best Books", not the newbies that everyone got crazed on in 10 months after they come out like... :P

์I think most books I choose to read are filtered somehow, before start reading, by my nature of reading. Except the worst books can be those disappointing ones. Those that are from the same authors who wrote books I read and love.

Like I hate Murakami's Norwegian Wood enough that I throw the book away by almost half of it. But I love Kafka on the shore so much. Or that I like most books from the Chronicles of Narnia. But I hate Prince Caspian.

There are unbearable books that I give up reading, say byebye and forget them. But it won't be as bad as the disappointing books. So this is more about mental relationship between the authors and me than the their writing.

Umm... 'Little Prince' is my answer.
Though it's not the worst, it kinda disappointed me when first read. I got no touching feeling from it.
(Or maybe my brain is just not capable of processing philosophy lol)

I wholeheartedly second that!!! Don't get it when I was a teenager, don't get it when I am a twenty something, will try again when I'm tthirty something, if not then it's over!
