Let's continue with the explanations: 5. the shoe is on the other foot This idiom means that the situation has changed. For example, if you were asking me questions about Thai, I could say "now the shoe is on the other foot!" :)
Other idioms with shoe from //dictionary.reference.com/ 24. drop the other shoe: to complete an action or enterprise already begun. 25. fill someone's shoes: to take the place and assume the obligations of another person: She felt that no stepmother could ever hope to fill her late mother's shoes. 26. in someone's shoes: in a position or situation similar to that of another: I wouldn't like to be in his shoes. 27. the shoe is on the other foot: the circumstances are reversed; a change of places has occurred: Now that we are rich and they are poor the shoe is on the other foot. 28. where the shoe pinches: the true cause of the trouble or worry.
6. corresponds The verb 'to correspond' can mean two things: a, "This idea doesn't correspond to reality." (this idea is different from reality) Here, correspond means 'being the same, matching together' b, "We corresponded, and now we have a new contract." Here, correspond means to communicate by letters, to discuss something via letters. For example, now I am corresponding with you :)
7. somehow It means "in any possible way", "some possible way". For example, if you see that somebody is in trouble, you can ask: "Can I help you somehow?"

A few answers:
1. Just so you know Use it to begin a comment. When you want to tell something to somebody, but you don't want to discuss it, you just want the other person know what you think. - Gosh, this music is terrible! - Just so you know, this is my favourite song.
Similar expressions are: Just to let you know, ... Just for your information, ...
2. bring out the best in me Don't think about it like "bring out the milk from the kitchen". Here, it's only metaphorical. For example, if you think chilli is good with curry, you can say "chilli brings out the best flavours in the curry!" -- it means that the curry is really good with chilli.
When this is about people, it means that you really like to be with the other person, because he/she has the best effect on you. He/she helps you to develop/feel/express the best qualities in you.
3. so do you It doesn't mean very much. Use "So, do you... ?" to begin a question, to begin a new topic in a conversation. For example, it you want to start a conversation about curry, you begin: "So, do you like curry with a lot of chilli?"
4. how come? It's a very concise question, the meaning is similar to "How did it happen? / Why is it this way?" . For example, somebody tells you: - I cooked curry yesterday, but it was very bad. (you don't understand why, so you ask her to tell more) - How come? - Well, because I didn't put enough curry in it. - Oh, I see.
So much for now. I will answer the other questions later. If you want, write to me in simple Thai, it would be interesting to read! ºÒ ¡Òâºèà ËÇѧÇèÒ¨Ðà»ç¹»ÃÐ⪹ìá¡è·Ø¡¤¹ºéÒ§¹Ð¤Ð ËÔ§ãËè
