If you thought clapping your hands in order to turn off the lights was cool, wait ’till you see this crazy idea. Bang! comes from Bitplay and is a lamp like any other at a first glance. The only thing that could arouse suspicion is the fact that it doesn’t come with a switch, but with a gun instead. When the user no longer needs light, he or she can simply take the “white weapon”, point it at the lamp and shoot. This action will determine the lights to go off and the lampshade to move sideways. A second gun trigger will have the reverse effect. This idea could be implemented in teens’ bedroom, but adults could also be targeted (we are referring to their consumer potential here). What do you think? Could this idea compete with clapping when it comes to turning off the light every night?
