Kakavia
Kakavia - Greek fisherman's soup - is a classic Greek dish. Often compared to the French bouillabaisse, any Greek will tell you that it's tastier and easier to make!
Traditionally made with the catch of the day, the selection of fish and seafood can be changed with the seasons, as long as the fish are fairly small and suitable for boiling.
Like I said before, winter is the best season for having soup as a main meal.. so I've intended trying/making as many different kinds of soup as possible before spring comes ! This soup is very simple and ideal for a seafood fan , plus it's quite light in calories that you could comfortably consume it without a concern !
The only problem about the recipe ( which I've found from here ) is that it calls for 1/4 cup of lemon juice which I fully thought it's far too much ( also made me think about a clear version of Tom Yum )...so I reduced amount of lemon juice ( more than half ) to make myself feel comfortable with ! And that simply made the soup become one of my favorites..lol..
