Miss Mauritius 2008
PORT LOUIS, Sep. 20 - Anais Veerapatren, a 22-year old Law student from Curepipe was crowned Miss Mauritius 2008 during an event held on September 20th.
Anais, who stands 1.83 m tall will represent Mauritius at the Miss Tourism Queen International, Miss Universe and Miss World 2009 contests.
The 1st runner-up was Laura Grenouille, and the 2nd runner-up was Rachel Lacharmante.
In the same event, Asvin Chummoo (19) was chosen Mister Mauritius World.
12 contestants competed in the 39th edition of the Miss Mauritius beauty pageant.
