The scientist doesn't study nature because it is useful. We all are aware of this statement but what does it actually mean. He studies it because he enjoys it and enjoys it because it is lovely. If nature were not beautiful, it would be worthwhile to learn about it. A well-known phrase by Henry Poincaré. In contrast, there is a well-known person Wendell Johnson conducted The Monster Study. It experimented on 22 orphans. Positive speech treatment was given to half of the kids, complimenting them on how fluently they spoke and negative speech therapy was given to another half, criticizing them for their speech flaws.
