I have heard that, the moon seems to be larger sometimes. Especially, if it is near to the horizon. This is just because the sky is so gigantic. If the moon is in the middle of the sky, we feel like it is small (because compared to the sky, it is much smaller). But in the near of the horizon, we see the moon in relative to trees, buildings ..etc. So compared to them, the moon is large. Sounds reasonable...

จริงๆแล้วพระจันทร์ที่อเมริกาดวงโตกว่าที่เมืองไทยค่ะ เพราะการกระเจิงของแสงมันสูงกว่า เหมือนการที่พระอาทิตย์ที่ใกล้จะตกดิน หรือเพิ่งขึ้น มันลูกใหญ่กว่าน่ะค่ะ ไม่ใช่เพราะ relative to the trees and everything เลยดูใหญ่นะคะ อธิบายไม่ได้มากเพราะไม่ใช่นักฟิสิกส์
