The Cat Returns
  
The Cat Returns or Neko no Ongaeshi (猫の恩返し) (Jul 2002) is the story about a girl named Haru, who one day saves the life of a cat while on her way to school. To her surprise, Haru learns she came to the rescue of no ordinary cat -- the kitty, Muta, introduces her to the Kingdom of the Cats, where the feline potentate attempts to arrange a marriage between her and his son. Brought into a world he never knew existed, Haru learns a few lessons about herself as he discovers more about the strange and magical secret world of the cats.
The Cat Return, in fact, began from the story of Shizuku Tsukishima from Whisper of the Heart , and life as the "Cat Project" in 1999. Aoi Hiiragi had be commissioned to create the manga equivalent of the short, which is called Baron: The Cat Returns (バロン 猫の男爵, Baron: Neko no Danshaku) before was turned to 535 pages of storyboards. Miyazaki, finally, decided to go ahead with a feature length film, the film that'll show you some reason of loving yourself!!!
Anyway, please don't ask me why I also love this story if you're such a kind-of (fat) cat lover,OK?
