CREAM CHEESE CRUST*** 1/2 cup Butter 3 ounces Cream cheese 1 cup Flour
Combine all ingreients and press into bottom and up sides of deep 9 or 10 inch pie plate.
FILLING:
3 Large eggs, beaten lightly 1/2 c Sugar 1/2 c butter 1 tb Vanilla 6 oz Chocolate - bittersweet or semi-sweet, melted and cooled. 1/4 ts Salt 1 c Pecan halves
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (165 degrees C). 2. In a heavy saucepan combine melted butter, sugar and chocolate. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate dissolves. 3. Add vanilla, salt and eggs, stirring well. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans. Mix well. 4. Pour filling into unbaked pastry shell and top with remaining 1/2 cup pecans. 5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes , or until just set. Filling will set on cooling. 6. Serve pie with whipped cream .
