The Time Traveler


What will be the fate of humanity?

The arrow of evolution leads the creatures on earth to the top of evolution tree with human. Where would it lead to another hundreds of thousands of years?

Will humans remain human like we know? The desire to know the future may come from the curiosity of one to find out about their descendants and the result of the development mankind had crated, or the need to find the meaning of one's life or even the reason for the whole humanity.

the far-almost beyond reach image of future gives one hope for the answer that only seems impossible in the present, like a phrase "only time will tell". And indeed time might be able to tell; only the thing time will tell can not be chosen.

There is no way to know whether it will be pleasant or disappointing, or far worst. And when you find out, it is already too late.

Knowing this, why would one wants to know about the future?

Could it be that humans, along with their given intelligent, are cursed with curiosity which they cannot resist? And the only thing that separate them between the desire to find out and the answer that is probably hidden or lying somewhere, sometime is their limited ability.

What if that limited ability had been reach?

When the gate that might lead to the answer one had been longing for is already open, inviting anyone who is capable of crossing the impossibility, the only thing left is one’s courage to step through.

And that is what he, the time traveler, did.


H.G. Wells not lonely did an excellent job on opening the reader’s mind to the idea of time traveling, he include upon his writing an incredible and yet horrifying views of human civilizations.

The truth beyond the gate is far from consoling or enjoyable.

In given us the idea of the future, he makes us look at the present and starts to think of what would become of it.

What would become of humanity?

Are we too careless about the true face of reality and are blinded by the everyday business?

After all we are blessed to not know the future and that the barrier has not been destroyed.

But why not come with him, the unlucky one, to the trip into the future.

We are even more fortunate to not have to worry about the dreadful fear of being stuck within the future which we do not belong too.

And just a friendly advise, bring along a box of matches.
