โมฮัมมัด อาลี เป็นนักมวยในดวงใจตลอดกาลของคนหลายล้านคนรวมทั้งผมด้วย
กว่าจะก้าวขึ้นมาเป็นแชมป์เปี้ยนโลก โมฮัมมัด อาลี ต้องผ่านการฝึกซ้อมอย่างหนัก แต่เคล็ดลับความสำเร็จของเขาไม่ได้มาจากพลังกายที่แข็งแกร่งอย่างเดียว แต่มาจากพลังใจที่มุ่งมั่นและพร้อมที่จะทุ่มเททุกอย่างเพื่อชัยชนะ
ผมเชื่อว่าทุกคนสามารถกำหนดวิถีชีวิตของตัวเองได้ จะประสบความสำเร็จหรือล้มเหลว ล้วนขึ้นอยู่กับใจตัวเอง
จริงอยู่ที่คนเราเกิดมามีต้นทุนหลายอย่างที่ไม่เท่าเทียมกัน แต่สิ่งหนึ่งที่ทุกคนต้องสร้างด้วยตัวเอง คือ พลังใจ
หากเราปิดกั้นตัวเองด้วยคำว่า “เป็นไปไม่ได้” ความฝันก็คงเป็นแค่ความฝันอยู่อย่างนั้น
เหมือนตอนที่ผมมาทำงานที่นี่ใหม่ ๆ ตอนนั้นบริษัทประสบปัญหาหลายอย่าง ทั้งด้านการเงิน ภาพลักษณ์ของแบรนด์ (มีคนบอกว่าบริการพรีเพดของเรา มีภาพลักษณ์เหมือนหญิงแก่น่าเบื่อ!) ช่องว่างระหว่างผู้บริหารกับพนักงาน และโครงสร้างองค์กรที่ซับซ้อนซึ่งไม่เอื้อต่อการตัดสินใจที่รวดเร็ว
หากเราถอดใจยอมรับสภาพ เราก็คงเป็นผู้แพ้ตลอดกาล
แต่เพราะเราตั้งใจที่จะสู้ในวันนั้น ทำให้เรามีวันนี้ได้
ผมไม่ได้บอกว่าเราเป็นผู้ชนะในการแข่งขัน แต่ผมคิดว่าผลจากพลังใจของพนักงานทุกคน ทำให้เราสามารถมีแบรนด์ที่แข็งแกร่งขึ้น มีโครงสร้างองค์กรที่ช่วยให้กระบวนการตัดสินใจรวดเร็วยิ่งขึ้น และมีฐานะทางการเงินที่มั่นคงมากกว่าเดิม
ผมถึงคิดว่า “ใจ” สำคัญที่สุด ถ้าเราเชื่อสักอย่างว่าเราทำได้ ต่อให้ยากเย็นแค่ไหน เราก็จะทำมันให้เกิดขึ้นจริง ขอเพียงแต่อย่าท้อเสียก่อนเท่านั้นเอง
ผมมักจะพูดเสมอว่า เวลาเลือกคนมาทำงานด้วย ผมจะดูที่ ทัศนคติ มากกว่า ทักษะ เพราะผมเชื่อว่า ทัศนคติที่ดี เป็นตัวกำหนดการกระทำและผลงานที่จะตามมา
มีหลายคนถามผมว่า แล้วทัศนคติที่ดี คืออะไร สำหรับผมแล้ว ทัศนคติที่ดีประกอบด้วย ความรัก ความมุ่งมั่นในงานที่ทำ และที่สำคัญคือ ความเชื่อมั่นว่าทุกสิ่งสามารถเกิดขึ้นได้ หากเราพยายาม.
