Cafe' Buongiorno

Anyone tired of Italian cuisine yet? O.K. then this will be the last Italian place I’ll review for this period. Well, guys I am going to take you to this cake buffet place at the restaurant called, Café Buongiorno.

Been reading about this place for a year ago but haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. Because when I asked the crew if anyone wants to go for a cake buffet, most of them will be hesitated by their calories mind calculator.

Only my sweet Akiko is so excited to go with me. We met at Phrom Pong BTS station and walked along the road to Sukhumvit Soi 33. We almost gave up after walking back and forth for couple times because there’s no sign of this restaurant.

What we saw was only bars or massage places. Plus all the girls in front of each place don’t look quite friendly enough to ask for direction. But Akiko and I were really wanted to find it so we decided to ask the parking staff of this salon. Bingo!! He knows where it is yey yey!

Café Buongiorno is on the right hand side soi. The land mark is the big yellow sign and the small red sign of some shops. Sorry I don’t remember either of them. But it’s pretty easy enough to see from afar so when you see these 2 signs on the right that soi is where Café Buongiorno stands.

“Thank God we didn’t give up” that’s what exactly popped up in my mind when I see this….

Most of the tables were occupied both inside and outside. We decided to sit inside because after having an unexpected exercise, I was so sweaty.

This certificate ensures us that we made the right decision today.

They were awarded in 2004 as well, so this must be one of good places, eh?

The cake buffet costs only B 151 / person and here’s what we were looking for….tah dah!!

I ordered Earl Gray tea to enjoy with the cake. It’s B 70 a pot.

The cake was good, not that oh-so-good cake but good enough for this price. It’s light but much flavored especially white chocolate cake.

Too much cake can make you feel uneasy so both of us agreed on having something salty.

Penne with tomato sauce and bacon was our choice. As usual for an Italian restaurant when you ordered meal they will serve you some bread.
