“เครือข่าย” และ “กิจกรรมเครือข่าย” คืออะไร?

เครือข่าย คือ โครงสร้างซึ่งจะอำนวยความสะดวกให้เกิดกิจกรรมเครือข่าย
กิจกรรมเครือข่าย คือ กิจกรรมที่กลุ่ม หรือบุคคลเข้ามาร่วมเรียน แลกเปลี่ยนทรัพยากร และประสบการณ์ ทำกิจกรรมร่วมกัน และให้การสนับสนุนเพื่อประโยชน์ร่วมกัน
1.กิจกรรมเครือข่ายมีประโยชน์อย่างไร
กิจกรรมเครือข่ายอาจก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ดังต่อไปนี้
  • ช่วยสร้างความเชี่ยวชาญให้กลุ่มสมาชิก โดยแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล และประสบการณ์ในการประชุม และการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ
  • ทำให้กลุ่มสมาชิกสามารถดำเนินโครงการร่วมกับกลุ่มอื่นได้
  • ทำให้กลุ่มสมาชิกรวมทรัพยากรเข้าด้วยกัน เพื่อบรรลุผลซึ่งไม่สามารถบรรลุ ได้หากแต่ละกลุ่มทำงานเพียงลำพัง
  • ลดความซ้ำซ้อนในงาน เพราะสมาชิกจะทราบถึงแผนงานโครงการของชมรมอื่น
  • เชื่อมโยงบุคคลจากต่างสาขาวิชาเข้าด้วยกัน
  • ทำให้มีโอกาสแบ่งปันความคิดและปัญหา
  • ทำให้กลุ่มสมาชิกทำงานร่วมกัน เพื่อสร้างความตระหนักเกี่ยวกับสิทธิของผู้สูงอายุ
  • ทำให้มีเสียงหนักแน่นขึ้นในการรณรงค์ เพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงนโยบายในระดับท้องถิ่น ระดับชาติ หรือระดับนานาชาติ
  • ทำให้กลุ่มสมาชิก และบุคคลมีความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับประเด็นเรื่องการสูงอายุ และการพัฒนากว้างขวางขึ้น จากการติดตามกับกลุ่มหรือบุคคลอื่น
  • สนับสนุนการเยี่ยมเยียนซึ่งกัน และกันระหว่างกลุ่มผู้สูงอายุ

2.เครือข่ายมีประเด็นสำคัญที่ควรคำนึงอย่างไรบ้าง?

เครือข่าย คือ โครงสร้างซึ่งจะอำนวยความสะดวก ให้เกิดกิจกรรมเครือข่าย ดังนั้นจึงมีประเด็นสำคัญที่ควรคำนึง เพื่อให้เครือข่ายมีประสทธิภาพ และประสิทธิผลสูงสุดตังต่อไปนี้คือ

  • เครือข่ายต้องมีลักษณะ สนับสนุนกิจกรรมร่วมระหว่างสมาชิกเพื่อบรรลุจุดประสงค์ร่วมกัน
  • เครือข่ายต้องอำนวยประโยชน์ให้สมาชิกจากการทำงานร่วมกัน
  • เครือข่ายต้องทำให้สมาชิกยังคงมีความเป็นอิสระ และปกครองตนเองได้
  • เครือข่ายถือว่าการเป็นสมาชิกนั้นเป็นการอาสาสมัครไม่ใช่เป็นการบังคับ
  • เครือข่ายอาจเป็นโครงสร้างถาวร เช่น สภา สหพันธ์ สมาคม ซึ่งมีแผนการปฏิบัติงานประจำปีที่แน่นอน
    หรืออาจเป็นโครงสร้างชั่วคราว เพื่อเฉพาะกิจ ซึ่งอาจสลายตัวเลิกไปได้เมื่อภารกิจเสร็จสิ้นแล้ว
  • เครือข่ายต้องมีสมาชิกกลุ่มหรือบุคคลจำนวนหนึ่งเพื่อทำหน้าที่ประสานงานเครือข่าย
  • เครือข่ายอาจมีข้อตกลง หรือกติกาในการทำงานร่วมกัน แต่ไม่จำเป็นต้องเร่งรัดให้มีระเบียบ ข้อบังคับหรือธรรมนูญ เพื่อใชในการทำงาน เพราะสมาชิกอาจสนใจในการกำหนดระเบียบ ข้อบังคับ หรือธรรมนูญมากกว่าการพัฒนากิจกรรมเครือข่าย

3.เครือข่ายที่ดีจะทำได้อย่างไร
เครือข่ายที่มีประสิทธิผล ต้องการเวลา การลงทุนลงแรง และข้อผูกมัดซึ่งมีประเด็นที่จะทำให้เกิดเครือข่ายที่ดีขึ้นได้ ดังต่อไปนี้คือ

มีการจัดตั้งเครือข่ายแบบไม่เป็นทางการระยะหนึ่งก่อนที่จะเป็นเครือข่ายแบบทางการ สมาชิกกลุ่มต่างๆ มีความปรารถนาที่จะจัดตั้งเครือข่ายร่วมกัน

เครือข่ายมีจุดประสงค์ที่ชัดเจนแน่นอนผู้สูงอายุมีส่วนร่วมในเครือข่ายอย่างเข้มแข็ง

  • มีระบบแบบประชาธิปไตยและโปร่งใสตรวจสอบได้
  • มีการประสานงานที่ดี
  • มีกิจกรรมเป็นรูปธรรมที่น่าสนใจสำหรับสมาชิก
  • สมาชิกทุกคนหรือทุกกลุ่มมีส่วนร่วมอย่างเข้มแข็ง
  • สมาชิกมีความเชื่อถือไว้ว่างใจกัน
  • เครือข่ายเป็นที่ยกย่องนับถือโดยทั่วไป
  • เครือข่ายยืดหยุ่นได้
  • มีทรัพยากรเพียงพอที่จะทำให้เครือข่ายดำรงอยู่ได้
  • มีการควบคุม กำกับ ติดตาม ประเมินผล อย่างสม่ำเสมอ
  • มีการแนะนำให้สมาชิกใหม่เข้าใจในจุดประสงค์และวิธีการทำงานของเครือข่าย
