บล๊อกนี้ส้มจะไม่ตั้งเป็นหน้าหลักนะคะ แต่จะเข้ามาอัพเรื่อย ๆค่ะ
" I like the position I am in right now and would like to keep it this way as long as possible."-Rafael Nadal
I love the competition, not only in tennis, he said. I love the competition in all aspects of life. When I compete, I love to be there and fight for the win. - Rafael Nadal
Nothing. I am still the same, he replied. Do you think I've changed? - Rafael Nadal from timesonline
I don't think it's about managing to keep my feet on the ground, Nadal said. What I have to do is not make mistakes because life throws plenty of curves at you and today I may be here as the No 1, but in five years, ten years, I'm going to be leading a normal, ordinary life. If right now I don't keep in mind that everything that is happening to me is momentary - that it is going to be over - then in the future the bump is going to be pretty huge. If you elevate yourself too much, you have much farther to fall. - Rafael Nadal from timesonline
"It is not -- I don't have any preference, you know. Prefer go out with nice and funny girl. Doesn't matter if is player or artist." - Rafael Nadal from press conference on 26/03/09 at Miami
"A piece of cloth more or less do not make the person. The important thing is on the inside" - Rafael Nadal
Rafa Nadal was bemused by the topic when asked by a female journalist at the Australian Open on Thursday about the fans' disappointment at his changes of clothes.
"What happened?" he asked. "The fans didn't like?
"I didn't know...but I am feeling okay.
"When you have a change, some people like, other people don't like.
"(Even) with the sleepless (sleeveless,) not everybody liked it.
"The important thing in the end is not the clothes, it is the ball and racket and playing well."
"I just win for sure an important title for my careera. But I no better five hours before than now, no? That's the true, no? When you win an important match, but you have to know before the match who you are and after the match you have to know who you are, too. You are the same, no?" - Rafa from the post AO final presser
Q. You saved 13 breakpoints. I mentioned it to Federer. He said, I wish I was a lefty. Do you think it's an advantage to be a lefty?
Also, have you ever wished to be right‑handed in some situations?
RAFAEL NADAL: No, I happy with myself, no (smiling)? Is okay. - from the post AO final presser
Q. I'm surprised to see you eating cookies. Are they chocolate chip cookies?
RAFAEL NADAL: Yeah.
Nadal says "Yeah," but his smile says, "So? What about it?"
Q. I was wondering if you have things like that quite a bit? I always think athletes have a very regimented diet and don't indulge.
RAFAEL NADAL: Not me. (Laughter.)
Long pause, Nadal flashes what you might call a s--- eating grin.
"My opinion, you can eat everything. Well, before the match maybe don't have five cookies or one steak, but my opinion, you can eat everything in the right time. If I eat right now, 20 cookies, maybe I gonna have indigestion tonight. If I eat two, three cookies, maybe it's OK.
Maybe not for the stomach, no, but for the head it's better. (Laughter.) In the end, the important thing is to be mentally okay.
Q. Better mental preparation?
RAFAEL NADAL: Yeah. - from press conference after his quarterfinal win over Juan-Martin del Potro, Nadal shows up with two chocolate chip cookies and starts to eat them as he talks.
It's strange. I always remember everything, no? - Rafa from the presser after the 2nd round match in Miami 2009
Yeah, it's a little bit tough because I would love to sign everybody, but thats impossible. - - Rafa from the presser after the 2nd round match in Miami 2009
My goal in life when I was a young boy was to be happy. My goal now? To be happy. Nothing has changed. I have got better at tennis, but that is all. Nothing in me has changed. People think they will meet me and I will be a different person, but I wont. I am the same. I still want nothing more than to be happy. - - Rafael Nadal from timesonline 2006
"I am the world number one, I won three out of four clay court tournaments, Im still on the list for London. Im delighted with the first five months of the season. I dont know what else I can do to be confident. " - - Rafael Nadal from Madrid Open Final 2009
If I dont fight here (in Spain), when am I going to fight? - - Rafael Nadal from Madrid Open SF 2009
