            The table compares the average (1) number of cars per hour in three suburban roads, namely Smith Street, Brown Street and Black Street. The data was collected over a decade, starting from 1988.

However, in 1994, when speed bumps were installed, (4) the number of cars reduced dramatically to 176 and continued to fall further in the following two years. (9) The number of cars then fluctuated over the following five years, ranging from 540 to 690 for Brown Street, and between 370 to 680 for Black Street. In the year 1994, (10)the number of cars rose dramatically by about 200 to 300 in both roads. (11)The number of cars was stable after 1994 for Brown Street but tended to rise for Black Street. Overall, (12) the number of cars in Smith Street decreased dramatically when speed bumps were introduced in 1994, while the other two roads without speed bumps faced a huge rise in (13) the number of cars in the same year.
