Successful Immigrants
There are several steps that new immigrants need to follow to be successful in the United States. The first step is to study English for non-native speakers, such as English as a Second Language. This is a very significant step because it enables new immigrants to understand and speak the countrys primary language effectively. Many immigrants miss out on excellent vocational and social opportunities because they do not communicate well in English. The next step is to choose a major for their future careers leading to graduation with at least a career certificate or degree. For example, if they want to be an accountant, they should graduate with an accounting or business major. New Immigrants should not abandon this step because career certificates and degrees are vital for getting skilled jobs with higher salaries. Few of us want to do backbreaking work as low wage manual laborers our entire lives. Next, the immigrant should apply for a job at a solid company that provides a good salary and excellent benefits. For example, after my friends husband, who named James, received his Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, he went to work at Hewlett Packard and has been there for ten years. Now he works there as a Systems Engineer. He frequently goes abroad to train co-workers in other countries and receives extra wages and benefits for doing it. Later, immigrants should save some money for buying valuable things such as real estate. Most new immigrants rent an apartment or live with relatives when they first come here. But after they have saved money for a few years, they should try to buy a house for their family. If they have money left over, they should attempt to buy more real estate because real estate is a good investment. Finally, they should provide an education for their children so that they too can be successful. Many immigrants have learned from experience that education is the best route to success in the United States. Therefore, they need to provide the best education for their children that they can. Moreover, most Asian people believe that the success of their children is more important than their own success. In conclusion, when immigrants follow these steps, it is very important that they do not give up when they encounter difficulties. Many immigrants overcome serious problems on their way to success in the United States.

ก่อนสอบ อาจารย์ให้ศึกษาก่อนว่า คำที่ใช้อธิบาย characteristics มีอะไรบ้าง เพราะนักเรียนส่วนใหญ่มักเอาคำมาใช้สบสน ต้องแยกให้ถูกว่า ตัวนี้เป็น verb, adjective หรือ noun

Loyalty And Trust
The characteristics of a good friend for me are loyalty and trust. First, loyal friends assure that they will not abandon you when you have troubles. For example, my loyal friend doesnt abandon me when I do something wrong. She tries to do everything that she can to make me feel better. She always encourages me; she never makes me cry. Second, trusted friends are persons of whom everyone wants to have at least one in his or her life. If you share your secrets with them, they will not tell those secrets to others behind you back. For example, I always tell my trusted friend everything, and she keeps it secret. We have never kept secrets from each other. Moreover, she always comes to my defense when someone says something negative about me. I believe that loyalty and trust are the significant characteristics of a good friend. Everyone can have good friendships for a long time if they are loyal and trustworthy to each other.

Thai Talk
There are several reasons why the Thai language is a unique language. First, the Thai language is the main language only in Thailand. It is different from the neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Singapore that use English as the main language because they were ruled by England. Next, Thai has many particles at the end of polite sentences. Female speakers use the particles kha, ja, and naka at the end of each polite sentence. For example, the word Sawasdee means Hello. If speaker says Sawasdee kha, it is more polite. The difference of using these particles is that people can add kha and ja at the end of all sentences, but people add naka only at the end of imperative sentences. Kha is generally used to speak to someone who has a higher position, more power, and is older than the speaker, and it is also used to speak to someone when the speaker does not know him/her while ja is only used to speak with someone to whom the speaker has a close relationship. Male speakers add krubpom, krub and nakrub at the end of each polite sentence. For example, Sawasdee krubpom is a very polite sentence for male speakers. Males use the particle krubpom, krub and nakrub in the same way that females use kha, ja and naka respectively. Finally, Thai has words that are used only with the Royal Family, such as The King or Queen, so these words are called royal language. The royal language is the ancient words. Although it is very different from normal Thai, Thai people know it as well as normal Thai. The royal language is used by both Thai people who speak to the Royal Family and when the Royal Family speaks together. Here are some examples for comparing differences between words in the royal language and normal Thai. The royal language uses Tawaibungkom, but normal Thai uses Sawasdee. The royal language uses the particle Peka for female speakers, but normal Thai uses kha. The royal language uses the particle Payaka for male speakers, but normal Thai uses krubpom. These are all reasons why the Thai language is not only a unique language, but it is also a very interesting language.
